New 5 bedroom home built in 2013. Pine Cone is a group of vacation homes from 1 to 6 bedrooms. Spruces is the newest home that will accommodate sleeping for up to 17 people. Overflow can use other homes while Spruces' large great room can handle a large gathering. If this home is not available, another may have an opening.
Spruces can be used for crafters weekend.

Daily visitors are $15/day/person which you can pay during your stay. Daily visitors are $15/day/person which you can pay during your stay. Dog fee is for only 1 dog. Contact me after you reserve if you would like to bring more than one dog.
We are delighted that people love Spruces.

This property is not available for VRBO rentals in the summer Memorial Day through Labor Day. We are open year round to bring people together for a short stay during the fall, winter and spring.

Christmas Stay

The property was perfect for our family Christmas, it was decorated nicely and it felt like home. The property was very clean and the layout was great for our family. We will definetely visit again.

Duplex and overall experience

We stayed at the duplex over the New Year's break. We had a big group of 11 adults, 4 kids and 3 dogs. It is very hard to find a nice place where they accept multiple dogs, so we were very appreciative. The place was amazing. It was clean and specious. We had two large kitchens, 6 rooms, laundry room we could use if needed, two fireplaces and comfortable sofas in the living room. The views on the lake from the living rooms and some bedrooms were very relaxing! The customer service was excellent, very fast to replay and always willing to help and work with us. The area around the lodging is wonderful and peaceful. In the winter, the lakes are great for skating or ice fishing and we did some sledding with kids there too. Soaring Eagle Ski Trails, which are absolutely gorgeous, are about 20 min drive from the Pine Cone. We were able to rent the boots and skies there as well. Very nice people! Also, Itaska State Park is about 30 min drive. Overall, we were very pleased with the stay and we all hope to return.

New Years Getaway

We rented a different unit than one shown here called the Duplex (Cherry & Sycamore). Had a wonderful time. Cabin was very clean and up to date. Beds were comfortable. Bonnie was great to work with even though we were a last minute booking because the friend's cabin we normally use for New Years was unavailable. She provided timely and friendly information. Far enough to from town to be peaceful, but close enough that if you need to run and get something it is a quick trip. We were there in the winter so did not get to see the grounds - spent most of our time indoors - but from what I could see appeared well maintained.

Home away from home

Pine Cone is by far our favorite vacation destination. We stay in Spruces every year with our extended family. There is plenty of room for all the cousins to stay in the same room laughing and giggling all night. The adults each have a room of their own. Spruces has an impeccable view of beautiful Big Sand Lake. We can park our boat just feet from the cabin. My son especially likes nearby Loon lake where he can drop a fishing line and haul in fish anytime of the day. The cabin is very clean and offers wonderful amenities, such as a washer and dryer and heated garage! Our family chooses Pine Cone over Disney year after year!
