Welcome to the Thomas Family!
In the idyllic Harz mountain village of Trautenstein—high in the Harz Mountains—we offer three accommodations: a small vacation home, a small, rustic log cabin, and a vacation apartment, each accommodating two people. Both vacation homes and the apartment feature a living room, one bedroom with a double bed, a kitchenette or compact kitchen, and a bathroom with a shower.
The two vacation homes are located in a quiet garden, and the apartment is in your host’s house. Enjoy a cozy barbecue evening with us in our Finnish grillkota or under the open sky. We, the Thomas family, are sociable, open-minded, and always eager to ensure our guests have a pleasant vacation. We’ve created the perfect conditions for this. Here, you’ll find peace and relaxation on a beautiful property. We look forward to welcoming you.



Log Cabin:

Romance – Pure Vacation
Our log cabin, named “Uncle Thom’s Cabin,” is located at the back of our property and is a rustic wooden cabin with its own small wooden deck. We offer a cozy 35 square meters of space for 2–3 people, divided into a living room with an ethanol fireplace and a sleeper sofa, a kitchenette, a bedroom, and a bathroom with a shower.
The bedroom is equipped with a double bed and a closet. The beds are made, and a linens package (towels, dish towels) is included in the price of your stay.

A large lawn with sun loungers and various seating options is available in the lovingly landscaped garden. A Finnish barbecue hut completes the romantic atmosphere. Enjoy your summer evenings under the open sky, or snuggle up together by the open fire in the barbecue hut during the fall and winter months.

Next to the log cabin, with plenty of privacy, is another small vacation home for 2–3 people.



Check-in is from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and check-out is from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
