St Martin French side on Nettle bay we are very happy to present you the beautiful one bedroom Villa ELBA
Villa Elba is located on the beach, at 10 meters from the Caribbean sea at the Nettle Bay Beach Club. It is very well equipped with a French touch. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, wifi, TV, A large deck in front of the sea. View on Marigot bay and Anguilla island.
At the Nettle bay residence, you have many excellent restaurants and bars located at about 200 and 300 meters, the Mezza Luna Italian restaurant, Fabulous Feast, French traiteur and restaurant. You have also a French grocery Cadisco (also bread) and a "Super A" supermarket at 3 kilometers. At the other side of the road, 300 meters from the residence, you have a grocery a pastry a french bakery a very good restaurant le Mezza Luna and a famous restaurant, one of the best of the island, Ā« La Cigale Ā» and several other, Hotel Hommage restaurant, le flamboyant restaurant le Mati Beach
At the fine traiteur Ā« Fabulous feast Ā» near the residence, you can order some meals
You can park your rental car inside the residence free of charge - important for car rentals - (by night secured) . We can recommend some good adresses for car rentals.
We enjoy to spend a few time to explain the island, to recommend restaurants, beaches, groceries and activities.
We own or manage several other units
on the French side, on the beach, sea view.

Lovely place!

The property was exactly as listed - excellent. Walk out of the condo about 10 meters to the Caribbean! A rental car is a must, however, to access restaurants, well stocked grocery stores, and activities. Will likely return!

Awesome unit with beautiful views of the Caribbean sea

We just returned from a week at Beach Tulip, what a wonderful way to celebrate our 30th anniversary! Beach Tulip is clean, modern with all the amenities you can dream of, nothing has been forgotten when equipping this home. Jean Pierre and Martine are wonderful hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them and they gave us great tips for restaurants, beaches and car rental. I would highly recommend this villa and we will definitely return!

Tropical Storm Philippe didnā€™t slow us down. We enjoyed exploring the island during the storm, we drove the entire island for hours exploring in the rain! Good friends, food and we love coming to Nettle Bay Beach Club. Marie is a super host. Weā€™ve rented from her 3 times and will be back again soon to stay in another of her lovely properties! Nice Villa

Everything was as listed per description. Jean-Pierre was great to deal with. The only problem we had was part way through our stay we had no water due to water line break on the French side of the island. The owner put us up in a hotel for a couple of days & refunded the rest of our stay so we could stay on the Dutch side that had no water issues.

Wonderful stay

This place was everything described and more. It is extremely clean and has an incredible view. The neighbors were also very friendly and we never felt unsafe in the area. We definitely hope to return in the future! Jean-Pierre was a very kind and gracious host. He made us feel so welcome. Although I didnā€™t have any problems to contact him about, I have no doubt he would have responded immediately. He also recommended a very nice rental car company that picked us up and dropped us off at the airport. It made the entire arrival and departure process very easy.

One Of the best experiences Iā€™ve ever had

The property was amazing and just as described. Jean Pierre was very professional and made our stay very accommodating with everything we needed. When we arrived to the island we were able to catch a taxi to his place and he took us around town to find the best car rental place available. After that we dropped our bags off and he gave us a run through of the property and also gave us knowledge on where everything is. When he opened the fridge he had left some Momentos for us which included champagne and a traditional drink from St. Martin! We didnā€™t want to leave and we are already planning our next trip to stay at the same property. The peacefulness and equanimity you get at this property is second to none! The best!! St. Martin rocks!

What can I say, Jean-Pierre and Martine we were once again blown away at the beauty and professionalism of this rental. The Beach Tulip was spotless inside and out, it had everything a person could ask for and more. Every detail is bang on- from beach chairs, the umbrella to Martine's home-made cookies. This property is a mere 15 feet from the ocean and is breathtaking to sit and watch the world go by. A booklet with all needed information is provided along with "insider" tips to the islands best restaurants, beaches and shopping. There is such a unique property that will not disappoint and the pictures do not do it justice. Make sure to check out the bakery and grocery stores near by as they are some of the best on the island. It was hard for us to leave this beach beauty. Look forward to coming back again and again.

Great Beach Apartment

From our first warm greeting by Jean-Pierre and Martine, we knew we had chosen a great place. The chilled bottle of champagne was a wonderful welcome gift. The apartment was right on the beach with fantastic views of the sea and Marigot across the water. The swimming pool was just steps from the door. There were three very good restaurants that we could walk to right along the beach. There was a good boulangerie a short stroll away. The center of Marigot with lots of restaurants and shops was a ten minute drive. It was a great location for exploring the rest of the island. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Jean-Pierre provided us with lots of information on restaurants and activities. We enjoyed so many good restaurants - Ma Ti, Dreams, Tropicana, Ocean 82, and Kontiki to name just a few. I would definitely recommend Beach Tulip to friends and relatives.

Wonderful place, just a few small issues

We loved our stay at Beach Tulip (Condo Elba) and we'd recommend it to anyone. Marie was lovely to deal with, communicative and helpful. The condo was clean and nicely furnished and we felt like it was a good value. We prefer it to any place in Simpson Bay or the more crowded places on the island. The beach is as pictured except when we went (Febuary, 2023) there was a lot of Sargasum grass in the water at the shore, which is not ideal for swimming. Many of the beaches on the island have the same issue. Also at the time we were there, the condo next door was being renovated so there were frequent sounds of jack-hammers and the like during the day. Water service was interrupted several times, once for a whole day but this apparently is common in many parts of the island. Also, the grill didn't work when we needed it (may have been out of gas...). Overall I would definitely recommend this place especially if you're looking for privacy, outdoor space close to the beach and great location.

Ultra modern French living.

We did not know what to expect to find after Irma ravished the Island. Jean Pierre's Beach Tulip is a flower surrounded by weeds. About one in six units were refurbished and inhabited in Nettle Bay Beach Club. A lot of building going on, starting early, even on week ends. Building debris and equipment haphazardly placed on the property. Broken glass in the sand, so shoes a must. These things not Jean Pierre's fault or control. We made the best of it by exploring two different beaches daily. Two chairs, an umbrella, beach towels and cooler (all provided) kept us happy on the beach. Sunscreen a must, bathing suits optional on most beaches. Need a car to get around and explore the great restaurants. The view is spectacular from the deck. The kitchen really well stocked for meal prep. There is a market walkable, and a super market a close drive. The Island has come a long way in 1 1/2 years since the Hurricane. There is a long way to go.

Excellent Stay!

We spent amazing fChristmas week at this true "home away from home " place. Jean-Pierre and Martine are unbelivble hosts! starting from attentive answers to all my emails following with the chilled bottle of champagne and attention to all our needs( including crib, chair and bath for our baby) ...they were always there for us. Even when our flight was unexpectidly delayed they helped us out like none ever did ( and it comes from experience of renting other places) This clean and breathy apartment is right on the beach with fantastic views of the sea and Marigot across the water. The swimming pool is just a few steps from the door. There are 3 very good restaurants that we could walk to right along the beach(dreams was our favorite by far). And the amazing bakery a short stroll away. The center of Marigot is about 7 min drive and it has lots of restaurants and shops . we felt that it was a perfect location for exploring the rest of the island for a family of 4( 2 adults and 2 young kids). The apartment was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Jean-Pierre provided us with lots of information on restaurants, beaches and activities. The area is very clean,safe and quite which was also Important to us. Have I mentioned that Jean-Pierre and Martine were amazing hosts? I know I have but I can't say it enough! they are always present and super helpful! they truly made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. Honestly the BEST vacation we had in the past few years, and we have been to many islands and resorts, this one beats them ALL. Please look no more- you found the right place!!!

Lovely accommodation, great location and superb hosts!

We really loved this condo and its location. The bed and furniture are all comfortable, the place is exceptionally clean, the appliances are excellent as are all the plates/glasses/cutlery etc. No Garage Sale or Thrift store purchases in this places which can't be said for all vacation rentals. The location of the condo within the complex is also excellent as it is away from the parking lot and the road running behind it. All important for us as we are light sleepers. It was pretty quiet in early November. We didn't see many people and we didn't hear anyone at night in the neighbouring units. Our favourite place to be was in the hanging chairs just off the deck. The pool or sea were steps away as was the kitchen for snacks and drinks. No lugging everything with you to beach or pool. We didn't use the beach chairs, umbrella etc. as we didn't head out to other beaches but they all looked new, again unlike what you find at other places. We toured around the island and on our return to this area and condo, were extremely happy with our choice of the Beach Tulip. So much nicer than a hotel. Having Jean-Pierre and Martine for hosts was also a huge bonus and added to our enjoyment of the place. It was like having some friends welcome you in to their place. They picked us up from the airport which was truly appreciated as our travel which had originally included an overnight stay in Dallas turned into two days of continuous travel when our first flight was cancelled. It was so nice to not have to go through a rental car pick up and then find our way to a new place on very little sleep. They provided us with everything we needed to know. Following their recommendations we enjoyed great dinners at The Tropicana in Marigot, Ocean 82 in Grand Case and a day Catamaran sail on Solana by Winner Touch out of Anse Marcell. The car rental agency recommended was walking distance from the condo and we used that for 3 days to explore on our own. Driving on the island is easy but can be congested in some areas. Rent a small car for easy parking. Try out your French - I think it's appreciated. If you are going to St. Martaan, this is the place to stay!

Beach Tulip after Irma - better than ever!

We loved our stay in the Beach Tulip. The condo itself was very tastefully decorated, clean and all of the conveniences of home - perhaps more than one might have at home. Jean-Pierre was a sincere, reliable and most gracious host. Well-informed as to restaurants, activities, local traditions (market times and "lolos") the beaches and their particular attributes made enjoyment of the island easy and accessible. With Jean-Pierre's perfect guidance on the excellent local butcher, bakery and wine store we were able to enjoy eating and drinking in the comfort and luxury of the "Beach Tulip" condo while experiencing the beautiful breezes and the view from the deck. No doubt the hurricane was tragic and devastating but everything we needed was restored and we almost wondered if it was improved in the restoration. The Beach Tulip, for example is newly and perfectly refurbished and appointed in Jean-Pierre's impeccably good (and a bit avant garde) taste in interior design. We also really appreciated that though some of the beaches are back to the holidayish, touristy euphoria with umbrellas, hamburgers, rum and Corona ... other beaches are deserted or with just a smattering of people on them. We loved having beautiful Caribbean beach and rolling waves to ourselves, or virtually to ourselves. For all of that, our favourite swimming was just a 100 foot walk down our own beach and from the front patio doors of the Beach Tulip. We were almost always alone on that half mile of beach with that beautiful aqua-marine water to just float, swim or bob around in. We usually started our day with coffee out on the deck with a view of the twinkling lights of Marigot in front of us and the fantasy-like yachts in the bay to the left of us under the moon and stars. The darkness transformed to the pink of the dawn breaking over the mountains behind Marigot. We ended our days with cocktails on the same deck as the breeze cooled us after a day in the sun and sea. Don't miss a day trip on the catamaran "Arawak" where you will have a day on the water, a swim at a gorgeous beach on Anguilla and a very tasty lunch provided. You don't have to worry much about making the arrangements - the skipper, Rodney, is beside you in the next condo! Our only regret is only getting into a few of the many really excellent restaurants on St. Martin/Maarteen - Jean-Pierre provides you with several pages of recommendations. And do rent a car from Claude as Jean-Pierre recommends.

Le paradisā€¦ avec quelques bĆ©mols

Nous connaissions dĆ©jĆ  lā€™endroit et y retournions avec certaines attentes, mais pas trop Ć©levĆ©es Ć  cause dā€™Irma. Le condo adjacent au nĆ“tre Ć©tait en rĆ©novation. Pendant 4 des 10 jours de notre sĆ©jour, nous avons subi le bruit de dĆ©molition de bĆ©ton, sans aucun prĆ©avis avant et durant notre sĆ©jour. Il y aussi eu une panne dā€™Ć©lectricitĆ© et deux pannes dā€™eau courante. Il reste que le site est magnifique et lā€™Ć®le, paradisiaque.

Anniversary by the Caribbean Sea

The villa is perfect. The views outside on the deck were incredible and we simply could not stop being captivated by them. From sunrise to nightfall when all of Marigot lights up across the water on the other side, we were simply stunned. There is a marina across the way so there were endless boats to watch for even with port and starboard lights meandering through the reflecting sea. Everything was as we remember it in Nettle Baie and all of our favorite places and people on our beach days at Mullet Bay reminded us quickly why we love it there so. You will not be disappointed by this villa if you are looking to decompress in Heaven for a while. Thank you to Marie-Laure for your expertise. Even though you were in France with your family, you were always just a text away and you never let us down. It was a pleasure to meet you in person at checkout. Great Stay at SXM

Overall great experience! We really enjoyed Laureā€™s place. One of the best parts was waking up to the ocean right outside of your door. Beautiful views and even nicer outside furniture than pictured with. Pool is a stones throw from the condo. Laure had so many great suggestions for activities, beaches and restaurants, which we greatly appreciated. She had thought of almost everything - beach chairs, towels, snorkel gear, well equipped kitchen etc. As long as you rent a car, you can get anywhere on the island in under 30 minutes. Plenty of parking on site. We would definitely return!

Solid value

First, property manager Marie-- fantastic. The apartment was perfect for a couple. Full functional kitchen. French supermarket/bakery 5 mins walk. A few nice restaurants nearly. I most enjoyed the walk out semi-covered deck just steps from the rolling waves. We swam in the sparkling clean and very large pool twice daily. A few downsides: there is still plenty of very large broken glass in the sand that surrounds the deck, the walk to the water, the walk to the pool (Irma remnants). I picked up what I saw (daily) but be careful. The deck furniture provided was not as shown in the photos but still functional. The backpack beach chairs were much appreciated. A selling point to me was the photo of 2 kayaks...there was only one kayak, no paddle, so essentially there is no kayaking. I brought this to Marie's attention on Day 1 but this could not be resolved. Take care traveling through Sandy Ground as Marie advises-- the local motor bikes create a white knuckle driving experience. All in all given the state of the travel world I am recommending this property to my friends.

Wonderful property

The property was just as listed. It was very well appointed and literally right on the beach and steps away from the water. The host was so very welcoming. We canā€™t wait to go back.

Perfect location and amazing view!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The pictures can't possibly show just how beautiful the view is from the patio- the water is steps away. We constantly heard the waves in the background and swam almost everyday (the currents are a bit strong in Nettle Bay, but still very swimmable for us!). Marie was so kind, accommodating, and communicative. We loved the location- close to downtown Marigot and Baie Rouge, and relatively easy driving distance to Grand Case, Anse Marcel, Cul-de-Sac, and Orient Bay- but quieter than many of the other resort areas. (We were very glad we rented a car so that we could easily explore the island.) Also the restaurants nearby are incredible- we especially loved Mezza Luna and La Tropicana! After much exploring across the island, we were very glad that this is where we had chosen to stay. If/when we travel back to St. Martin, we will 100% stay here again and would highly recommend it!

Perfect!

Our host Marie was absolutely fantastic! She met us and explained everything to us including giving us some of her favorite restaurants, island activities, and shopping. Marie even connected us with a nurse Cecile who came to the condo to perform our COVID testing for return to the US. 2 of the pools were closed for maintenance which was a bummer, because the one was closest to us, but we spent most of our time at the beautiful beaches of the island instead. Beautiful location close to everything!

Family Vacation

My husband and I and our 9 year old daughter stayed in June for a week. We had excellent communication from Marie and everything was just as it was pictured online! We were greeted upon arrival and given everything we needed to make our trip a success. Marie provided many helpful tips on all things vacation in both St. Martin and Sint Maarten! She had an entire binder which even included how to use all of the items in the condo with diagrams! The washer and dryer is all in one and we definitely would not have known how to use it otherwise! Everything was provided to make your stay very comfortable! There was even coffee and creamer already there for our first morning. The view is spectacular and the location was wonderful to access both sides of the Island. Getting a car is a must if you plan to travel from your location. We will definitely be back!

I went to St-Martin 12years ago and I felt in love with this island and especially the Nettle Bay Beach Club residence. I bought a condo close to the sea and i renovated it.
Nettle bay residence si the only place in Saint-martin where you are on the beach, the feet in the sand, at a few meters from the Caribbean sea, Marigot Bay. You have a nice view on the Nettle Bay, Marigot, the French main town and Anguilla island.
