Our issues began the day we checked in. It was cold and rainy, and we knew we were going to spend a couple of days in the room. However, the WiFi/internet connection was not working. We contacted the management company through the VRBO app, and for three hours they repeatedly asked me to “find the router” and send photos of television screens instead of resolving the issue. This was also when we learned that neither the owners nor the management company were local.Eventually, after 5½ hours, we contacted VRBO to request reimbursement so we could move to another room in the hotel. We were told the best they could do was send someone the following day to reconnect the WiFi. We were also told that having no WiFi "is considered merely an inconvenience.”Someone did come the second day, and the WiFi worked for about four hours before becoming inconsistent again. When I contacted the management company once more, they again wanted me to troubleshoot the issue myself by sending photos and attempting to reconnect equipment.By the end of the second day, I was so frustrated with VRBO, the management company, and the poor communication that when a cockroach crawled across the bathroom floor, I decided not to even contact the management company.The lack of responsive support, combined with unresolved basic amenities, made this a very disappointing experience overall.
