Our guesthouse is situated in a wonderfully peaceful location, nestled in the midst of an idyllic garden, in the heart of Eggstätt. You’ll be able to relax wonderfully here, as no traffic noise disturbs the soothing quiet. Our Bavarian-style house features four vacation apartments. The two apartments on the second floor leave nothing to be desired and are lovingly decorated in a traditional Bavarian style. All apartments have a balcony. Of course, you’re also welcome to use our large, sunny lawn, and the kids can have fun on the playground. The Gasthof Unterwirt is right next door, so your dining needs are taken care of, and you can also enjoy the breakfast buffet (for a fee). Shops, banks, and other restaurants, as well as the nature reserve with Lake Hartsee, are also within walking distance. And so, nothing stands in the way of a vacation where you can leave the car behind for a while! We warmly welcome you to Gästehaus Maria in the enchanting Chiemgau region.

Our “Kampenwand” apartment is probably our most rustic. It’s located on the second floor, under the roof. Nevertheless, it’s very airy. You enter the apartment through a long, narrow hallway. A shower room, the separate restroom, and the bedroom branch off from it. The bedroom is very spacious and features a comfortable double bed in a modern Bavarian country-style design, as well as a very comfortable built-in closet. At night, you can snuggle up under the protective roof and enjoy the silence. You can darken the skylight with a blind. The space continues into the living room, which opens up and flows into the kitchen. The exposed roof truss with its wooden beams opens up the space toward the ceiling and then draws the eye to the double doors leading to the beautiful, wide south-facing balcony. Here, you’ll enjoy a view of the garden and, on clear days, the Alps. A cozy sitting area, dining area, and TV complete this beautiful space. The kitchenette is equipped with a stove and oven, refrigerator, microwave, and all the dishes you need for cooking and dining. The floor has just been fitted with beautiful light-colored, modern wood-look flooring. This apartment is recommended for guests who would like to retreat for a while to relax away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Eggstätt is located in the heart of Chiemgau, right on the Eggstätt Lake District—Bavaria’s oldest nature reserve. Numerous hiking and biking trails invite you to enjoy a relaxing outing in the enchanting natural surroundings of Eggstätt. Lake Chiemsee is only 5 km away. We are located at an elevation of 539 meters above sea level and have approximately 2,900 residents.
Our guesthouse is situated in a very quiet and central location in town. The “Unterwirt” inn, located directly behind the house and long run by our family, offers you additional amenities to complement your vacation rental. You’re also welcome to have breakfast there, and the children can enjoy the inn’s playground.
