Nestled beneath majestic pines & cedar trees, Zimm's Meadows sits on 5 secluded acres of forest, at the edge of the Sequoia National Forest. Just 3 hrs drive from LA, this luxurious and spacious cabin will make you feel at home the moment you enter. Enjoy the peaceful outdoor setting, comfy beds, gourmet kitchen, large living and dining room, jacuzzi hot tub, indoor and outdoor games, foosball table and so much more! Thoughtfully furnished and well equipped, Zimm’s Meadows is the perfect place for a family vacation or friends get-away. Only 15 minutes from town, Kern River & Lake Isabella.

ABOUT THE CABIN: It’s your home-away-from home, offering everything for a comfortable stay. Comfy living room setting, a well-stocked gourmet kitchen, huge fridge and freezer, 4 large bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, plush beds, fans in every room, a large soaking jacuzzi tub, air conditioning, central heat, and a pellet stove for the winter month, lots of games, books, a foosball table, an expansive yard, ample parking and more! Over 3000 sq. ft. of living space for you and your fellow travelers to enjoy. This cabin is family, kid and pet approved!

EASY CHECK-IN AND LATE CHECK-OUTS!
Check in is easy and contactless, for your convenience. Arrive any time after 3pm and use a keylock code to enter. On your last day, take your time! We know packing up and leaving can be a drag, so we extended our check-out time to 12pm. So no stress on your last day.

This is not a party house! Please only inquire if you are looking for a peaceful getaway with family and friends.

PETS: Pets are welcome at this property, and they have a fenced in area to play in. Please do not let your pets get onto furniture, couches, beds or use the towels or linens for them to sleep on. Also, please clean up after your pets outside.

WINTER VISITORS:The Alta Sierra community receives a good amount of snow over the winter months, and weather can be unpredictable. For this reason we have closed our calendar. However, depending on road conditions, we will accept last-minute bookings. Please send inquiry, if interested.

Friend reunion and rafting

Zimm Meadows was the perfect place to gather. Lots of indoor and outdoor space for socializing and playing games. The location is paw perfect for the four-legged friends too. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your property.

Summer Rafting Trip

We had a wonderful stay at Jake’s home. The location was beautiful and much cooler, which was a relief from the temps down in Kernville. Yes, with the 155 closed, the drive up to the cabin required more planning and extra driving time, but we didn’t regret our choice at all. There was plenty of room for our two families and the kids had a blast! The house had everything we needed for large family dinners and game nights. We found a great local hike instead of venturing down to Kernville. Jake was very responsive to all our needs and questions!

2023 Phoenix escape

Annual Family summer vacation to escape the extreme Phoenix heat. We picked a great year as Lake Isabella had been extremely low but this year the water levels were excellent so we enjoyed 2 days at the lake. Only about an hour drive up to see the giant Sequoias which was a great experience. The home was beautiful and secluded in the pines with a great big yard for the dog and amazing space to spread out indoors with the entire family of 7. The game space upstairs was super for video games or doing a puzzle. Plenty of couch space for all of us to enjoy a movie downstairs. The kitchen was huge and superbly stocked, and a great big dining table both for meals and card games for everyone. All the bedrooms had privacy and space for everyone. The fire pit and hot tub were awesome for relaxation, s’mores, and gazing at the stars. A great getaway and extremely relaxing.

Wonderful!

My family and I celebrated thanksgiving weekend in this beautiful cabin/house. We absolutely loved everything about it. The house was large and clean. The area was beautiful. Close enough to town but pretty secluded as well. The hosts were so amazing. Answered all of our questions and were super easy to get hold of. Can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend.

Zimm’s Meadows is awesome!

What an amazing place! We were surprised by how spacious it actually is, the pics don’t do it justice. Everything was very clean and cared for and there is a lot of intention to how everything is labeled and laid out. The property is peaceful and private. We loved our time there.

Awesome 4 nighter!!

Great home up in the mountains. So quiet with a gated entry. Huge kitchen! Plenty of room for all of us and all of the kids. Hot tub was a big hit. Only about 20 minutes to town. Also about 15 or 20° cooler during the day, then down in Kernville. . We will definitely stay at his house again. Plenty of room for everybody. Only about 20 minutes drive to town. Also about 15 or 20° cooler during the day then down at the bottom which is nice. Air conditioning worked awesome. We will definitely stay at his house again!Plenty of room for everybody. And clean. Not much cell coverage up at the house. The owner was very responsive and took care of us. Due to the location (no service), we could not watch any TV but there were DVDs. That wasn’t a big deal for us. I would highly recommend this home.

Complete Peace

We absolutely loved this beautiful home!! Sooooo quiet and peaceful! Waking up with a cup of coffee on the back patio, listening to birds singing and watching the trees swaying in the breeze....just awesome! If you want to getaway from the crowds and relax your muscles in the wonderful jacuzzi, this is the place! When we arrived, we felt like we were home...felt secure and this home was incredibly clean! The owner, Jake, is super cool....any questions we had was answered so quickly!! Thanks Jake and Anka.....we had a very memorable stay at your beautiful home!!! We will be back!!!

We had a great time this weekend, the house was very spacious with every amenity needed. and its far enough away from the town that it really feel like you are out in the wild. The kids had a great time as well and the jacuzzi is very nice.

Great private stay

Perfect cabin not too far from town. Awesome brewery nearby at Kern town. You’ll need to bring your own ingredients if you want to cook but they had all the things you would need. Great space upstairs and downstairs for kids to play and adults to relax. Would do it again!

This home is well stocked for cozy days in, or fun days outdoors and the surrounding areas offer so much to explore - hiking, mountain biking, rafting and fishing are just some of the activities available in the Kern River Valley.

This property is ideally located for hiking and exploring nature, as well as any other otudoor activities, such as riding ATVs in the Summer and snow mobiles in the winter. Miles and miles of deserted trails to explore, starting right at the edge of this property.

This home feels roomy and big. You won't find crowded bedrooms, squeezed-in beds or pull-out sofas here. Everyone sleeps comfortably in plush beds and linens, and there is enough space for every guest.
