Our gorgeous and charming vacation rental is located on the top floor (2nd floor) of a beautiful historic villa and offers you and your loved ones not only contemporary comforts but also a unique panoramic view of Lake Tegernsee, its surrounding mountains, and the town center of Gmund am Tegernsee. Here, the name “Talblick Tegernsee” isn’t just a marketing strategy—it’s a name that truly lives up to its name! We’re child-friendly, and families are especially welcome here! The 110-square-meter apartment features 3 separate bedrooms (two of them with double beds, each 180x200, and one with two single beds, each 100x200), a large kitchen with high-quality, modern, fully equipped appliances, a bathroom with a shower and bathtub, a separate toilet, an entryway area, and a cozy living room with a modern double-sided wood-burning stove and an HD flat-screen TV. Adjacent to the living room is a unique bay window that’s slightly set back from the room. This charming bay window (located in the house’s tower) is the absolute highlight of the apartment and, with its large table, offers plenty of space for cozy dinners, lively game nights, or simply enjoying a good glass of wine in a wonderful setting with a view. In addition, our apartment features two large balconies facing southeast and southwest. Here, you can enjoy the sun and the panoramic views around the clock, and when the weather permits, you can also have a cozy breakfast and/or a barbecue for dinner. From both the bay window and the balconies, you’ll enjoy an absolutely fantastic, unobstructed view of the Tegernsee Valley and its mountain backdrop—undisturbed (since it’s secluded)—summer and winter, day and night. This unique view will leave you with unforgettable memories and make you want to come back! In addition to the vacation apartment, the historic villa has two other residential units, one of which is where your hosts live. So we’re here for you: if you ever need anything—just let us know! A single parking space for a car right in the house’s courtyard is included with the vacation apartment. A shed in the house’s garden can be used to store skis, bicycles, or SUPs (unlockable). As an added bonus, we’ll provide you with the Tegernsee Card—for an entertaining and active vacation! Use it to enjoy the many benefits and attractive offers in the region.<br><br>General location information<br>The property is located right in the heart of Gmund am Tegernsee, offering quick access to all the daily necessities as well as numerous restaurants, shops, and the lake promenade with its public beaches. The following destinations (by way of example) are within easy walking distance (times in minutes): the shore of Lake Tegernsee / beach: 5; train station (BRB) with bus station: 2; tourist information office: 2; REWE full-assortment supermarket: 7; traditional artisan bakery: 7; nearest restaurant/beer garden: 5–7; Family doctor: 3; boat dock: 12. In addition, all the attractions and recreational opportunities of the Tegernsee Valley, in all their inexhaustible variety, are reachable by car in no more than 15–20 minutes, including the Spitzingsee ski areas (via Sutten) and the aerial cableway up to the Wallberg. You can also set out on extended hiking and biking tours directly from the house and leave your car behind.<br><br>PLEASE NOTE:<br>We are completely honest hosts and therefore also collect the visitor’s tax required by the municipality of Gmund am Tegernsee! <br>This means that you must pay the corresponding amount (in cash, in addition to the price paid on Vrbo) upon arrival. This amount is merely a pass-through fee for us; we do not profit from it—it goes in full to the municipality of Gmund am Tegernsee. Due to the massive increase in firewood prices, we charge €10 per filled “Maurerwanne” (enough for an additional 2–4 fires) for additional firewood, if needed.
