A very special place

This exclusive holiday home in a small village with 17 houses is just a few meters from the sea and offers stunning views of the bay and coast of West Cork. This property has private access, green Grassflaechen and a large wooden deck with barbecue and garden furniture. The house itself has a variety of luxury facilities. It is perfect for 5 people and makes the special location and amenities make your vacation a memorable one. The house has 3 bedrooms all with private bath. There is a spacious living area with spectacular sea views. To make your stay as comfortable as possible, the house has a fully equipped kitchen and a nice bright dining and living area with sea views. All bedrooms in this house are equipped with quality beds -two of bedroom with king size bed and a bedroom with a single bed. The house is a 'passive house' and is equipped with solar energy and ventilation system, and therefore is ideal for allergy sufferers. For cleaning and washing as much as possible only environmentally friendly products are used. The Christmas season in this house is an experience. We decorate festive for a particularly nice hard.

Outstanding location overlooking the ocean. Beautifully furnished and well equipped for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay for 2 couples. We enjoyed the peaceful pastoral setting and ease of access to Clonakilty and surrounding area. Host provided excellent communication and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended!

Das Ferienhaus sollte ich eigentlich mit nur einem Stern bewerten , damit es ein Geheimtipp bleibt.Es war einfach traumhaft. Direkt am Atlantik gelegen. Ruhe pur. Wir liebten es so sehr.Die Ausstattung ist einfach genial. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Man braucht ein Auto um Ausflüge zu unternehmen, ein Bus fährt nicht.Es sieht genau aus, wie auf den Bildern, die online gestellt sind.Ich habe für nächstes Jahr gleich wieder gebucht. Kontakt zum Vermieter war immer sehr sehr freundlich.

Wonderful!

We absolutely love this place! We stayed here last year and we had such a perfect time that we returned again this year. This house has every possible thing you would need. It is clean, comfy and the view is spectacular. Communication with the owner was easy and any questions we had were promptly answered. Also enjoyed talking with Angela again! The peace and quiet was just what we wanted. We will be returning yet again as this place is so close to our hearts!

It IS a very special place!

Loved every moment of our stay! House was clean, spacious and well appointed and was just like in the pictures. A very relaxing and quiet place to unwind with spectacular views that you could sit and look at for hours! No downside to staying here and I could definitely see ourselves coming back some time. Thanks for allowing us to share such a wonderful place!

Schon im Vorfeld war die Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin auffallend gut und detailliert, die Anreise mit einer detaillierten Wegbeschreibung und der Check-In über Schlüsselbox waren problemlos. Noch am selben Tag wurden wir persönlich begrüßt und haben ein paar Tipps für die nächsten Tage bekommen. Rückfragen während unseres Aufenthaltes wurden immer rasch und bestens beantwortet. Für uns ein Pluspunkt war, dass es hier tatsächlich eine funktionierende Lademöglichkeit für unser Auto gab, das haben wir schon anders erlebt. Unsere Fotos von der Unterkunft und der Gegend haben im Bekanntenkreis so guten Anklang gefunden, dass wir den FEWO-Link zur Unterkunft weitergegeben haben - ich denke, dass wir es empfohlen haben, sagt bereits alles :)

Truly a very special place

As advertised, this property was very close to the sea with most stunning views from the massive sliding lounge doors. The house is calm and quiet and is comfortably furnished. Its eco-friendly credentials are amazing. Housekeeper Angela welcomed us to the property and answered any questions promptly. We had 6 lovely days there which included a visit to Cork and numerous visits to beautiful Clonakilty.

Best Vacation Ever!

My husband and I spent 10 amazing days at this beautiful property. The view was breathtaking and the peace and quiet was exactly what we needed! Doris was very prompt responding to any questions I had. The house was immaculate and very homey and comfortable. The surrounding area was picture perfect Irish countryside. It was decided before we left for home that we will be coming back next year and we can't wait!! The town of Clonakilty is so pretty and the people so friendly. Plenty of excellent restaurants. Kirby's at the Whale Tale was exceptional. If I could rate this property more than 5 out of 5 stars I most certainly would! Thank you Doris for making your lovely home available. It truly is "A Very Special Place"!!!!

Beautiful views at a wonderful home

The house is exactly as described and photos are accurate. Internet worked fine our entire stay and the neighborhoid is very quiet. Communication with Doris was excellent and Angela was an amazing help. Parts of some roads around the house and to Clonakilty were being resurfaced but was never a real inconvenience for us. There seems to be at least 4 various routes from the house to Clonakilty and none are what I'd call fun to drive and that's the only reason I give the location 4 stars while all other aspects are 5. I had a Peugeot SUV so maybe a smaller vehicle would have made driving more comfortable. The outdoor temperatures during our visit ranged from 39°F to mid 60s. The house stayed comfortable at all times. The kitchen was well stocked, hot water and pressure were very good. The view from the patio over the Celtic Sea was amazing at sunrise and sunset. I would stay here again.

An amazing location, right beside the Sea, a perfect spot to enjoy the sunshine and the storm. We had an amazing holiday, the decking area was absolutely beautiful. it really is a restful place and a perfect base to explore all that West Cork has to offer. I want to go back again very very soon.

A little touch of heaven

What a wonderful week despite the weather being disappointing. We were so relaxed in this amazing property with gorgeous changing views over the sea. The house is well situated for exploring Cork coastal areas. Cobh and Kinsale were especially attractive. Highly recommend this holiday home.

Beautiful, clean, sea-side getaway

The property was exactly as described and shown in the pictures. The cottage was very clean and comfortable with the beds/pillows being the best we have ever had on a vacation. The only thing that could have been better would be directions for the clothes dryer -- everything seemed to be in German on the dryer and we could not understand it. Other than that everything was perfect!
