The apartment is a non-smoking property. Shopping options are about one kilometer away, and the train station and public transportation are also within easy reach. Complex:
Just a stone’s throw from the fine-sand beach at Prora, your apartment is located in the luxury resort Prora-Solitaire. In the renovated former KDF resort, you’ll find shops, bakeries, restaurants, and bars lining a Mediterranean-style beach promenade. Since the entire outdoor area and beach access points are at ground level, wheelchair users and families with children will also feel right at home here.
However, we recommend spending a day by the sea in a beach chair! On the beach, you can rent one of the many beach chairs to soak up the sun to your heart’s content. If the sun happens to be hiding, you can use the swimming pool with its wellness area and the fitness room free of charge.
But Prora also has plenty to offer outside the resort. For example, the so-called “Adlerhorst” (Eagle’s Nest). This is a wooden structure modeled after a nest that winds its way upward in a spiral around a tree. The “Eagle’s Nest” is connected to the treetop trail. This trail is over 1,200 meters long and is one of the most beautiful in all of Europe. Once you’ve climbed the step-free wooden path, you’ll be rewarded with a spectacular view of half the island from a height of over 80 meters. In Prora, you’ll also find the expansive flint fields, which date back to the Ice Age and are perfect for long walks.
You should also make sure to visit the Störtebeker Festival in Ralswiek at least once. Every year, talented artists gather here to present a unique show to visitors of this popular open-air theater. The story of the legendary pirate is brought to life through naval battles, pyrotechnics, sword fights, and humor. The fireworks that follow, lighting up the Baltic Sea sky, make for an unforgettable island vacation.
With its diversity, Rügen offers a dream vacation to all visitors—not just those who come for the miles-long sandy beaches. We look forward to seeing you!
