The Inselhus Vacation Home

The Inselhus vacation home is located in a quiet wooded area at the northern end of Glowe, next to several charming thatched-roof houses, and, with its 40 m², offers a cozy vacation home for 3 people. The approximately 300 m² garden property is fully fenced and offers plenty of space for children to play. The terrace, complete with patio furniture, is a wonderful place to relax. The spacious living area features a sofa corner with a flat-screen TV, a double bed, and, in a separate area, a fully equipped kitchenette with a dining area. The separate bedroom features a comfortable single bed for an additional adult or one to two small children (the bed can be pulled out, but it then takes up almost the entire room). The vacation home features a modern bathroom with a shower and toilet (window, frosted glass). The ideal vacation home for couples and small families.

The cozy Inselhus vacation home is located in the charming resort town of Glowe in the north of Rügen’s Jasmund Peninsula. The longest—and for many, the most beautiful—beach on the island of Rügen is just a comfortable 5-minute walk away. In Glowe, you’ll find the beach promenade, various restaurants, bakeries, a supermarket, ice cream parlors, and much more right nearby. The promenade and the small sailing harbor are perfect for strolling, and the picturesque surrounding countryside offers plenty of opportunities for biking and hiking.

A trip to nearby Cape Arkona is well worth it. In addition to the two famous lighthouses, the towering cliffs are a major highlight here. From a height of over 40 meters, you’ll enjoy a magnificent view of the water and can savor your visit to Germany’s sunniest spot. The beautiful landscape alone makes the trip well worth it.

Ralswiek, with its popular open-air theater, is also a must-see on the island. Here, the legend of the pirate Klaus Störtebeker comes to life anew every year with ever-changing stories. One of the state’s most-visited open-air theater performances features animals, pyrotechnics, naval battles, and sword fights. After the show, there’s a grand fireworks display that makes your Rügen vacation unforgettable.

The area around Glow, as well as the Jasmund and Wittow peninsulas, offer beautiful routes for extended bike rides and hikes through the picturesque, diverse natural landscape, dotted here and there with magnificent views of the vast Baltic Sea. There are several bike rental shops on site that can provide you with the necessary equipment.
