A delightful home with history and a noisy trout stream just outside your door! With in 5 minutes of Young Harris College, 15 minutes to John Campbell Folk School and Rock Crusher ATV area. You are also within 30 minutes to Helen. Are you a rock hound, the Lapidary School is just a short distance down the road. Love Crane Creek Vineyards? A hop jump and skip down the road and there you are. This cabin is private and secluded but only a short distance back to the main road.

Very clean and organized cabin. Didn't care about walk down to river but was beautiful. Weather was fantastic. Would stay again. Very convenient to all surrounding towns.

The cabin was beautiful - clean, spacious and in a great location. It was private, with a great view, multiple porches and a creek in the back. We visited just after Christmas and appreciated the Christmas decor.

Property has tremendous potential, but is very neglected. Driveway is absolutely horrible and dangerous, many rotten boards and steps, stairs to basement are a disaster waiting to happen, hot tub only partially works and pool table has a huge sag in the middle. House was very clean with comfortable beds. We booked for two nights, but only stayed one due to the property condition and hot tub issues.

The house was clean and beautiful. The owner was very helpful. The instructions were correct and clear. The perfect location near a creak with so many decks to take in the view. A game room and hot tub to enjoy with the family. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property.

This cabin was a perfect place for my husband and I to get away from the Florida heat and humidity. We loved the location of the cabin. We enjoyed listening to the sounds of the creek rumbling. We loved the hot tub and fireplace. The cabin was comfy and cozy and had welcoming decor. It was located close to several great places to visit. We enjoyed the Crane Creek Vineyards which was located very close to the cabin. We also ventured up to Brasstown Bald to see the highest elevation in Georgia and to Bell Mountain for glorious sunset views of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountain and Lake Chatuga! We would love to come back to visit but next time bring the rest of our family! Thank you for sharing Hunker Down Cabin with us!

Nice weekend getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Hunker Down. The hottub and stream were very relaxing. Only downside was that we couldn't figure out any of the tvs and couldn't watch the Georgia game.

Close to paradise

This property exceeded my expectations. It is so very well maintained and the location is private and extremely beautiful. I would absolutely stay here again.

The overall cabin was nice. However, the kitchen window over the sink was very dirty. There was bug and dust debris everywhere and it kept falling into the sink. The bed in the master bedroom had hair on the top sheet, (hopefully from the cleaning person). Also, they might was to invest in a new mattress cover (this one had stains on it). The towels in the bathroom had to be washed because they smelled like old cigarettes.. It also would have been nice to have a small throw or blanket to use on the chilly mornings. There was an old electric blanket in the closet, but it was very bulky and not very comfortable.

Hineymoon away

This cabin was perfect fornour honeymoon. Not only wad it decorated for christmas, it was in the perfect location to stay in or fund new adventures around. Centrally located to a lot of major towns. We love the large creek and porches in the morning and at night. Host had great communication. Would stay here again.

Fantastic cabin right on the creek! Very peaceful. Saw deer, squirrels and other wildlife during our stay. Really enjoyed the hot tub, but even better was the jetted tub! We enjoyed our stay on many levels, the great room was very comfortable, the back porch was great and no mosquitoes. The local restaurants are probably all you need, but we ventured to Blairsville, Murphy and Blue Ridge. Everything was in close proximity, so with a couple of meals we made ourselves, there is plenty to eat. Nice decor with very interesting pieces to study. Didn’t want to leave, but we had to come back to our responsibilities, but sure was nice to leave all that behind with the serenity of this lovely mountain house! Hope to see you again soon.

Great for families or couples

House is very beautiful and peaceful. Super quiet, zero distractions, comfy beds, hot water and just overall nice. We were coming as a family but eneded up just being me and my wife. House is a little much for just the two of us we never even went to the 3rd floor but we wanted a king bed. The home did not disappoint. Everymorning we ended up outside for about 2 hours listening to creek and forgot how the time passed. Our only issue which wasnt really a home issue was the driveway which was a little hairy to traverse luckily we brought a truck instead of our car. Me and my wife were very pleased with home. We even starting planning the next trip back with more family and start looking at property for ourselves

Absolutely perfect

I took my three grown sons to the cabin just to reconnect and enjoy some time together just the four of us which we haven’t done since they were kids. A challenge because they each lives in a different state. The directions were spot on. It is beautiful on the outside and I was very pleased with the inside. The cabin was spotless. The view from the decks are amazing. We cooked out as well as spent a lot of time at the creek there is a fire pit at the water. The water was cold but we got in and it was nice to see them enjoy themselves and no cell phones required. T here is a hot tub and a pool table which we enjoyed as well. I think we all wanted to stay longer. We decided to do this every year right here. I have nothing but good things to say about staying here. I look forward to it next year!

It was a great place to stay, Quite, peaceful, beautiful, well maintained. Everything was better than we expected. Awesome huge house. Our friends are already planning their next visit to take their grand kids. The ONLY thing I would change is I wish the hot tub had been hotter.

The creek was amazing. A couple of frustrations included, no WiFi and in turn no dvds to watch in place of no WiFi, the hot tub is cracked and a few nozzles were dirty, the pool table is not usable because of the middle being broken, nails in the back deck on main floor are sticking up, and lastly there are instructions to remove hot tub cover so that no damage occurs but that is very difficult given the space available. Keep in mind that these frustrations did not prevent us from having a wonderful time.

So peaceful and relaxing.

Loved the stay. The pool table was warped so we didn't get to use it but overall we had such a great time. The views were so beautiful! The creek was beautiful and peaceful. We were 30 mins from great trails and falls. I would recommend this cabin to anyone with children, this cabin got my teenagers off of there phones. Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation!

Lovely Anniversary Weekend.

Our stay was very nice. It had a great location for driving to Hiawassee and Helen. Beautiful views in the morning looking out at the creek. Very cozy bed and loved the living room and hot tub! Would definitely stay at Hunker Down a second or third time.

10/10 would definitely recommend

The cabin was very pretty and nicely kept! The heat was a little funky in the master bedroom and the driveway is not made for any car low to the ground but overall it was a great location and we really loved it! The unfinished basement with all the games was definitely a nice plus as well!

Why Do You Need A Buyer's Agent?
First of All Having a Buyer's Agent Does Not Add to your Cost.
The seller along with the seller's agent pays the buyer's agent fee. Many buyers mistakenly believe they would get a better deal if they do not use a buyer's agent. They assume that since the seller has to pay the agent a commission, they would be willing to pass those savings on to the buyer if they do not use an agent. This is NOT true. In fact, seller's agents charge the same price regardless of whether or not you use an agent.

Here are a few things a buyer's agent does:

Helps you through the negotiating process. This is probably the most important part of having an agent represent you. The agent working for the builder or seller has one job and that is to sell you a home – maximizing the profits for their seller. You have to understand everything you're signing including addendums to the contract, possible delays, what would happen if your current home doesn't sell, etc. The most important thing to remember is that a buyer's agent helps walk you through everything step by step and works FOR YOU, not the seller.
Makes sure you don't overpay for a home. If you buy your home directly from the seller's agent they are only looking out for the seller's interests. A buyer's agent will provide you with valuable comparable properties and five you their opinion of the value.
