Far away from the hustle and bustle, in the heart of Angeln, surrounded by beautiful nature and rolling hills, I converted the Alte Meierei in Brarupholz into a lovely and spacious vacation rental in 2020. Here you can relax in complete peace and quiet, explore the countryside, enjoy breakfast on the terrace, or take a quick trip to the Schlei or the Baltic Sea for long walks.
The dairy began operations in 1897. That's where the milk from the village farms was collected and processed. After dairy operations ceased in the 1960s, the building served only as a residence. In 2019, I purchased the building to renovate it from the ground up using eco-friendly methods. The entire house is equipped with underfloor or wall heating. The interior walls are finished with clay plaster and painted with casein paint.
The total living area of the vacation rental in the Alte Meierei is 153 square meters, divided among the following rooms:
Ground Floor
33 sqm - Combined living and dining area
13 sqm - Bedroom 2
6 sqm - Bathroom 1
12 sqm - Kitchen
17 sqm - Hallway
Upper Floor
34 sqm - Loft
5 sqm - Bathroom 2
33 sqm - Bedroom 1
From the living room and the bedroom on the first floor, you can access the veranda, which opens directly onto the large garden. There is also a furnished garden shed measuring 8 square meters that you are welcome to use.
Just a short walk from the vacation rental—about 1 minute on foot—you'll find Germany's smallest EDEKA store, “Pfefferkorn.” There, you can also buy fresh bakery items every day.
