Great property

Excellent location, house has all needed for a perfect vacation. Only downside it was the WIFI didn’t worked for most of our stay, so if you are planning to work from home this won’t be a great spot, luckily I had hot spot.

Very clean and updated home. Close proximity to great beaches that weren’t too busy. Definitely a place we’ll consider for a return beach trip!

Had a great time on the island. Only complaint would be the back porch lights not working. Other then that it was great and very spacious

Perfect island getaway

This home is lovely and in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Beautiful sunsets on the bay just out your backdoor and a short trail. Views of the bay and ocean, and short walk to the beach. Perfect vacation.

Really great place to stay. Perfect location for our needs. The floor is grey laminate. When our six year old grandchild went without shoes or barefoot the soles of her feet turned completely black. So the floor needs a good cleaning.

Beautiful location and home

Home felt brand new, and the amenities were all working and utilized during our stay. Great location right in the middle of the island. Not far from the west beach. Lots of shells right in your backyard (beach). Nice quiet neighborhood with friendly locals. We will be coming back again!

Perfect

Perfect walking distance to both the gulf and the bay. Perfect views of both. Sunsets on the back porch were amazing. Outdoor shower to rinse off, hammock in the shade, and plenty of space to entertain ourselves outside. Impeccably clean and organized. Had everything we needed and more. Perfect spot for a wonderdul vacation.

Weekend getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed the serenity of the place! House was nicely renovated. Appliances very modern. Super clean. Beautifully decorated. Spacious. Comfortable. Furniture really nice. Short walk to the Bay and the Gulf. Will definitely stay again soon!

Overall the house was clean but saw sand behind furniture and along fridge. House has some wear from the elements which is expected in a island home. We really enjoyed the location and overall the house was great.

Very nice little property. The house is a short walk from public beaches. The house comes with the bare bones basics. Bring extra toilet paper, paper towels, and your own laundry and dish soap.

Great Place

We loved the location and property. The house is a perfect beach house with a great view. Access to the beach was convenient. The tub/shower combo that is on the east side of the home leaks down onto the concrete slab below when in use. This does not at all interfere with the use of the house for those reading this review. It was great!!

Fun Getaway

My mom, aunt, and I stayed here for a quick getaway. The property was gorgeous and had everything you could want. Be aware that no perishables are kept in the house (salt and pepper, coffee, etc.) so if you need it you'll have to bring it. We loved having our own rooms with almost a 360⁰ view of the water. The island was wonderful. We visited the aquarium which was lovely and had coffee at the bakery on the island. All in all it was a wonderful getaway.

Great spot for a small family getaway

Overall the property was clean, beds were nice, and appliances in good working order. I would say that the general investment into the smaller items was lacking and that's why it's a 4 star stay for us. Things like a quality hose for washing off sand (hose at property was full of holes) or basic items like a salt and pepper shaker are things I've come to expect at other stays. I would say the stairs on either side need to be replaced. Overall would recommend!

Perfect Spot

This rental was perfect for our family of 4, with young kids. A great location that is close to many beaches, both gulf and bay sides. Great views and breezes. We had no issues with the house, the kitchen supplies were a little lacking and you should bring everything you need (soap, laundry, coffee, trash bags) love that the island is so dog friendly, our dog made friends easily! Using the Vacasa app was simple, and it was reassuring to see so many other properties on the island are managed by Vacasa. We opted for the late check out which gave us an extra day basically! The house has some wear and tear but has been updated and is well kept. I would recommend!

Great location, house needs some work

Great views and walking distance to both the bay and gulf. The property has a lot of what looks like damage from pets. It has cute decor, but the kitchen and bathrooms are dated. Cabinets felt sticky, knobs missing. There was hair on the toilet seat in master bath and in bed. Walls are a little gross. It just felt a little overall gross. I think with a few repairs and a deep clean it would be an amazing spot.

AC Issues

We arrived Saturday evening and it was 75 in the house. Most of the day Sunday it did not get below 75. I sent an email on Sunday but did not get a response until Tuesday morning. The property manager, Monique, was amazing and did everything she could to get the AC fixed. She had the AC repair guys come out twice on Tuesday but unfortunately, the house never got below 75. 75 doesn’t sound bad but when you spend the day sitting on the beach in the sun, you want to go home to a cool house. Very disappointed in the comfort level of the house. Huge thank you to Monique for doing what she could to get the AC fixed.

Great way to visit Dauphin Island

While the property had most everything we needed, I recommend bringing clothing hangers, tin foil, a veggie peeler, tp, paper towel, laundry soap and basket style coffee filters. I purchased a large pack and left them, so there should be some for a while. Of course this advice is coming from someone who spent just over 2 weeks and planned on cooking most of our meals in. I mention clothing hangers because there was only one small dresser and 2 hangers in the place. I like to unpack when I am staying for an extended time. They do supply plenty of towels, a few laundry and dishwasher pods, dish soap, a roll of paper towel and some tp. I had seen comments from others about the condition of the decks and they really do need replacement. There are nails popping everywhere and a lot of decking that should be replaced. Also, almost all the windows have compromised thermal seals so there is moisture between the panes of glass. Not ideal for gazing at the bay and ocean views. The neighborhood was quiet, it was a quick walk to the gulf beach and the walks along the bay side are nice as well. The property was clean, the living room was comfortable, the beds were comfy and the decor was cute. Overall, I would stay here again.
