This exceptional 4BR, 3.5BA real log cabin is surrounded by mountains in a small Toccoa River valley. Located 12 miles north of Suches off of Hwy 60 it is easily accessible from Blue Ridge, Blairsville, or Dahlonega by paved roads.

Casually yet elegantly furnished and decorated for the ultimate mountain experience. Soaring cathedral ceilings with a magnificent 2-story wood burning rock fireplace. Beautiful post and beam construction with heart of pine floors. Granite countertops and stainless steel appliances in kitchen.

Over 600 ft. of frontage on a private section of the Toccoa River that is trout stocked by the DNR and the neighborhood fishing association.

Private riverfront picnic area with pavilion, grill, fire pit, and horseshoe pit.

Large porch in front of cabin for enjoying mountain views, watching wild life, and star gazing. Rocking chair porch overlooking river in rear of cabin. Private screened porch with swing and Jacuzzi hot tub.

The house was well equipped and clean. Plenty of room for the kids to run around. Not everything worked great but got the job done. Nice location away from the hustle and bustle.

Our family had a wonderful time staying here. It had everything we needed for a perfect weekend getaway in the mountains. The cabin was clean, spacious and private with plenty of space between it and the neighbors. We loved being able to float the river right back to the property!! Perfect location for trout anglers & peaceful retreat!

Had family visiting from Texas who had never fly fished. The location of Riverlands Retreat is perfect for anglers. Catch and release only at the cabin where we caught multiple trout everyday using artificial nymphs or streamers. If you want to keep trout that you catch, the cabin is just 15 minutes from multiple sites (Rock Creek, Deep Hole, Cooper Creek, Sandy Bottom) stocked by the Dept of Natural Resources. It was rainy while we visited so the screened, covered backporch overlooking the river was our favorite spot to hang. The perfect get- away if you want to be away from the crowds that can dominate the Blue Ridge area. Peaceful retreat and one to which we certainly will return.

Just what the Dr ordered

Myself and 8 good friends recently stayed here and it was everything we needed and more. We didn't fish much, but the trout were there if that's what you are coming for. Expect to see beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the mountain tops. The cabins are spaced out well and we had more than enough room for the 9 of us inside the cabin. I can't wait to book it again with my family. Thank you Deirdre for letting us stay in your beautiful cabin!

Trophy Trout

Cabin was wonderful! Very spacious and clean. Beds were great and deck overlooks the river. I loved the huge yard. We live on land so having this space was nice. We plan to return in warmer weather and play sports in the yard and fish our hearts out. The trout were the largest my husband has ever caught.

Great Stay on the Toccoa River

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Deidreā€™s place. The house was just as advertised. We loved the open field and the porches and decks - our dogs had a blast running around the property! We love to hike so this place was perfect for us. Within 15 minutes we were able to hike many trails that were challenging which is exactly what we wanted. The drive to the Living Waters winery was easy and we loved it so much we went twice! The house was clean, well stocked with the essentials and the hostā€™s communication prior to our arrival was perfect. She made sure I knew the house was not close to Blue Ridge and I told her we knew that and were looking to be in the forest and close to hiking. We will definitely book here again and enjoy the summer on the River.

Wonderful place 30 minutes from town

House had plenty of room. Owner called a week before arrival. Wanted to know if we had any questions or if there was anything that we needed She responded to all messages.Many extras to make you comfortable with extra standing fans, all equipment for the kitchen pots pans microwave, crockpot, pancake pan and so many extras! Plenty of seating fire pit outside fireplace inside beds were comfortable!

Stay over all was fine itā€™s just the power kept going out no internet service it was only one tv no Wi-Fi it was a power outage that made us had to keep going to the breaker box to flick it so that the power come bk on

Fantastic stay in Suches

Just returned from a wonderful trip to the mountains! Deirdre was responsive, helpful, and gracious in getting our crew to Suches. We loved being *directly* on a trout stream, with adults and kids both hooking several fish. It was a treat to fish the morning, and walk back a few steps to breakfast and coffee. Really the stuff of dreams for a young family!
