Let our home be yours when you visit the historic town of Hill City, SD. Centrally located in the beautiful Black Hills. We just purchased this town home which was built in 2006. You will find the main floor with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, and the lower level with 2 bedrooms and one bath. A living area and kitchen area on each level, providing lots of space for larger groups. A larger area for extended family or friends traveling together while giving some privacy. Freshly painted and new carpet make this town home just like new. New beds and the bedding and towels are provided for your use. Plenty of windows and great views off the deck. The deck is a perfect spot to enjoy an outdoor BBQ or just sit and relax, read a book or just simply enjoy the views. Off in the distance you will hear the sounds of the 1880 Train. Full kitchen on main level, dishes, pots and pans, and coffee pot are provided in case you choose to make your own meals. Lower level with partial kitchen with fridge, counters and sink. Dining out is near by with the Alpine Inn, Hill City Cafe and even Subway. While the town of Hill City offers many activities and unique shops such as The Farmer's Daughter, it is also centrally located to most tourist attractions in the hills. If you enjoy biking, jogging or walking, the Mickelson Trail is just a few blocks away, providing 104 miles of the most beautiful views in the hills. Crazy Horse, Mount Rushmore, and Custer State Park are with in 15 minutes. You can find winter sports, Spearfish Canyon, and casinos to the north just one hour away. Hiking to the top of Harney Peak, or enjoying boating, fishing and water activities is also near by in Custer State Park, Sheridan Lake or Lake Pactola. Just pack some clothing and personal items, and you will find the rest right here. Washer and dryer, laundry soap, on the main level, so you can pack lighter! Wall air conditioner in the main level Master Bedroom. Portable air conditioners on each level provide comfort in the hotter months. 32 inch flatscreen tv on main level, 50 inch flatscreen tv in lower level, blue ray player with each tv, and wi-fi. The adventures of the beautiful Black Hills is waiting for you!

The place is spectacular! Held five couples with ease, my only complaint,its in a cul-de-sac with no houses leading up to the three buildings in the cul-de-sac, the street is three lanes wide with plenty of parking leading up to the cul-de-sac, but the owners we're super funny about people parking there

Good location. Very nice to have 3 bathrooms and a garage. Owner was either overly attentive or snoopy but it was the Sturgis Rally so maybe thought we were a rowdy bunch but we were not.

Family Vacation

We had a great experience with the property. Fun overlooking the train station and hearing the whistle. Nice outdoor patios to enjoy. Quick communication with Julie when needed. Really nice place to stay. My only suggestion would be an ADA size toilet stool in the bathroom with the walk in shower, easier for folks with issues.Would stay again.

Enjoyable family vacation

Really enjoyed our stay at this property. Extremely clean and well furnished. Location was close to downtown and the view from the front deck was exceptional.

Relaxing property

Property had everything we needed and then some. It was very well supplied and clean. Host checked in on us by text message regularly to make sure we were good. Great location! Would definitely stay there again!

Great location

We had an enjoyable stay! The process of check-in and out was easy! You can literally see the entire downtown of Hill city from the deck. I scurried down the back hill to take a quick morning jog! I'd recommend this property.

We really loved this property. It fit our space needs traveling with our adult children and grandson. Plenty of room, very clean and a super view of Hill City and the surrounding Hills. Julie was very easy to work with and concerned with our needs while we stayed. We definitely recommend this property!

Great South Dakota location!

Our family enjoyed this location, as it was centrally located to Mt Rushmore, Deadwood, Lead, etc. The house was decorated cute, very clean and had comfortable mattresses with the benefit of a garage. Julie was a great hostess with tons of information via text on restaurants! Loved it, and we will be back!

Perfect Getaway!

My husband and I traveled with our 3 kids- 20,18, and 16 last week. This cabin was perfect in every way- location, cleanliness, size. Everyone was able to have their own room to spread out. We spent a lot of time on the deck overlooking Hill City. Julie was amazing to work with. Book this property- you won't be sorry!

Our third trip to stay in Hill City SD in an awesome home! Julie & her husband make us always feel welcome! The view from this home is breathtaking! Home is nicely kept & so clean! I totally recommend this home!

Great home and great location!

So very happy with our rental!!! One of the cleanest rentals I believe we've ever rented, and very very spacious. The pics don't do it justice. The location is great with a great view of the train depot and all of downtown Hill City! There was nothing we were lacking - owner even provided a pack-n-play for our infant grandson. So very kind of her!! Communication with the owner was perfect. She was always available and quick to answer my questions and was very patient. If we are ever in the area and need a rental that size, there's no doubt we will try to rent this one! You can't go wrong!!!

Perfect home base for large group

We had 4 adults, 4 teens, and 2 elementary-aged kiddos with us to take in all that the Black Hills has to offer. The location of the house in Hill City was perfect - walking distance to Main Street and the grocery store and a beautiful view of Hill City. The house had plenty of space for our large group so we could all spread out and sleep comfortably. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Julie was quick to respond to questions and checked in with us a couple of times during our stay. We were worried about the lack of central air given we were there in July, but the house was plenty cool with the ACs they have on site and several fans. I highly recommend this house!

Great Hill City Home

We really enjoyed our stay in this wonderful Hill City Home. We stayed a week and had a party of 6. Grandparents, parents and 2 teens. We had separate rooms for everyone and a separate tv and living area though surprisingly we never used it. We really made use of the beautiful deck overlooking the city and the large family table for dinners and games. We have stayed in several vacation homes and this one by far was the most well stocked. So many homes leave you with 1 trash bag, a few coffee filters and salt/pepper. This home included several pantry stables plus plenty of household items including laundry supplies. The home is directly in Hill City and close to Crazy Horse and Mount Rushmore. A visit to Sylvan Lake is a must. The scenery is breathtaking. There is a great hiking trail around the lake and the kids loved finding the entrance to Cibola the Lost City of Gold. (Actually we found the rock that Nicolas Cage climbed on in National Treasure 2 and the hole where he put his hand to open the entrance.) We would definitely stay here again. The owners were wonderful and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. If I was being picky, the only suggestion I would make to the owner is to add a coffee pot downstairs for early risers that don't want to wake the entire house up. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

In a cul-de-sac overlooking the downtown of Hill City. Hill City is known as the heart of the hills. Population of 980. Conveniently located on Prospect Mountain with fantastic views of historic Hill City and the 1880 Train. All roads are paved. Location, location, location!

Our family has done it all! Biked the 104 miles of the beautiful Mickelson Bike Trail, climbed Harney Peak, climbed Crazy Horse, Buffalo Round Up and Auction in Custer State Park, along with most tourist sites in the area. Take a step back in time and ride the 1880 Train to Keystone and back. All of the comforts of home right here close to it all.

Private with great views. Close to many attractions. Beautiful views of wild life, deer and turkey in the yard and nearby in the wooded area. Great views of the city and the Black Hills.
