Summary:

Cottage Five is a one-of-a-kind waterfront retreat with some of the most jaw-dropping lake views on the entire property. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame Newfound Lake and the surrounding mountains from nearly every room — you'll find yourself stopping mid-conversation just to stare.



The Space:

Step inside and the views hit you immediately. The main living area features soaring vaulted ceilings, warm hardwood floors, a leather sofa, rocking chair, flat-screen TV, and a dining table for 4 positioned directly in front of a full wall of lakeside windows — one of the best seats in the house. A second desk/work area with lake views adds a relaxed, functional nook for morning coffee or catching up on emails. The whole space is bright, airy, and effortlessly lake-house.



The kitchen is tucked just off the living area and is fully equipped for home cooking: electric range/oven, full-size refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, and all the cookware and dishware you'll need.



A staircase off the living area leads up to the open loft, which overlooks the main floor below through a wooden railing and is lit by a charming octagonal porthole window.



Bedrooms:

✔ Bedroom 1: Queen bed with dresser and ceiling fan. A cozy, private room off the main living area.

✔ Upper Loft: Open to the living space below, featuring two twin beds and a full-size bed, a love seat, a dresser, and a ceiling fan. Perfect for kids or flexible group sleeping. Please note the stairs to the loft are steep — use caution, particularly with young children.

✔ Linens and towels are available for a $55/stay fee, or guests are welcome to bring their own.



Bathroom:

One full bathroom with a shower, vanity, and classic cottage character throughout.

Step outside and you're right on the water. The cottage includes access to a shared dock, giving you direct lake access for swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, or simply dangling your feet over the edge with a cold drink in hand. Various outdoor seating areas invite you to soak in the stunning mountain and sunset views, while a private grill lets you fire up dinner al fresco. A shared firepit on the property is perfect for evening s'mores and stargazing.



Mooring Available: Bringing a boat? A mooring is available for $75 per stay—just let us know in advance. Please note boat and trailer parking is not permitted on-site. Trailer storage is available at a nearby marina for a small fee; simply stop in and mention you’re staying at Lakeside Cottages to arrange parking. If arriving on Saturday with a trailer, please plan to drop it off before 2 PM while the marina is open.

Guest Access:

Guests will have full, exclusive access to the entire cottage during their stay — all indoor living spaces, the main-level bedroom, the loft, the full bathroom, the fully equipped kitchen, and all common areas, including the living room.



Outdoors, guests have access to various seating areas, a private grill, and shared dock access — your direct gateway to Newfound Lake for swimming, fishing, and waterfront relaxation. The shared firepit on the property is also available for evening use. Two designated parking spaces are included with the cottage.



This is a cottage community with 6 cottages and a main house on the property. Some outdoor amenities such as the dock and firepit are shared with neighboring cottage guests, so we ask that all guests be respectful of the space and those around them.

Bristol, NH is a classic New England lakeside town with a relaxed, welcoming energy that has drawn families back to Newfound Lake for generations. Newfound Lake itself is the crown jewel of the area. From the cottage, you're just a short walk from dining, ice cream, and the public beach — making it easy to leave the car behind for most of your lakefront days. For day trips, major routes connect you quickly to Meredith, Plymouth, Laconia, and beyond.



Ride-share availability is limited in the area, so personal transportation is strongly advised. Two parking spaces are included with the cottage.
