Sobre esta propriedade

Roaring River Lodge Riverfront Fire pit

Summary:

Hand-built over four years by a family of mountain climbers, Roaring River Lodge sits along the Sandy River, your base camp for every Mt. Hood adventure. Fall asleep to the sound of the river, warm up by the woodstove, and gather around the fire pit under the stars. Three king bedrooms plus a bunk room sleep up to 10 guests. Seasonal pool, tennis, and basketball access included. Managed by Cascadia Getaways with 24/7 local guest support. Level 2 EV charging on-site to ease range anxiety.

The Space:

The Home:

Roaring River Lodge is a three-level retreat nestled along the Sandy River in the Timberline Rim community near Brightwood. You're just a short drive from Mt. Hood's ski resorts, hiking trails, and the charming mountain towns along Highway 26.

'Gallery (Top) Level' – Main Living Space

The top floor is the heart of the home. An open-concept living area with vaulted ceilings and wall to wall river view windows flowing into a fully equipped kitchen and a dining table with seating for ten. The woodstove is the centerpiece and keeps the entire space warm and cozy. Additionally, there is a game table with club chairs for card games/ puzzling or just for lounging. Firewood is provided by the owner.

Sliding glass doors open to a balcony where you can enjoy the surrounding forest, sounds of the river rapids and fresh mountain air. When you're not out exploring, you'll find excellent WIFI throughout, a BluRay player, YouTube TV, board games, and puzzles ready for a relaxing evening. A convenient half bath is also located just off the kitchen.

'River (Middle) Level' – Bedrooms and Deck Access

At the top of the stairs on the middle level, a glass door leads out to the expansive deck that runs the entire length of the back of the house.

To the right, you'll find the bunk room called Cloud Cap bunk room, which features two twin bunk beds and is perfect for kids or groups.

Just beyond Cloud Cap, a hallway door leads into a private section of the floor that includes a full bathroom and a king bedroom called Elk Cove. The bathroom has doors to both the hallway and the bedroom and can be closed off from the hallway to create a private suite. The Elk Cove bedroom also has a door that opens directly onto the deck.

To the left of the door, you'll find the king bedroom called Eden Park. This room also has an adjoining bathroom, and a hallway door can close off both the bedroom and bathroom together to create another private suite. Like Elk Cove, the Eden Park bedroom also has a door leading directly onto the deck with a work station for remote work with a view!

Both king bedrooms open to the large back deck, which also includes stairs that lead down to the fire pit area. In the summer, you can rest in the hammock with the southing sounds of the river.

Entrance Level + Private King Suite: The lower level King suite, affectionately named the ‘Bear’s Den’, provides a private refuge and features a full bathroom with soaking bathtub as well as a spot for reading.

The entrance level includes the laundry room with an LG washer that automatically dispenses detergent, along with under-stair storage stocked with useful extras like a high chair, pack and play, cooler, tennis racquets, card table, and a woodstove safety fence..

The Outdoors:

Step onto the expansive multi-level deck system and you'll understand why the homeowners built this house. The propane fire pit is your reward after a day on the mountain and can be enjoyed year-round without worrying about burn bans.

The BBQ grill is ready for cookouts, with grilling tools hanging by the back door. The long deck table actually splits into two, so you can configure the seating however your group prefers. On warm evenings, the deck becomes an outdoor living room with the river as your soundtrack.

The Sandy River flows right at the banks of the property. While there is no direct river access from the home, we've mapped out nearby access points in the guidebook so you can easily reach the water.

Guest Access:

Check yourself in with keyless entry — no lockbox fumbling, no key handoff. Your personalized door code will be emailed before arrival and is active between check-in (4pm) and check-out times (10am).

Once inside, you have full access to the entire home — all three levels, the deck, the balcony, the fire pit, and the community amenities (seasonal pool, tennis, basketball).

Your digital guidebook has everything you need for your stay — WiFi password, appliance tips, local recommendations, and emergency contacts.

If you need anything at all, our team is available 24/7 by call, text, or email.

The Neighborhood:

Roaring River Lodge sits in the Timberline Rim community near Brightwood — a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood along the Sandy River, about an hour east of Portland on Highway 26. This is Mt. Hood's front porch.

- Seasonal outdoor pool (Mid-June, weather permitting, through Labor Day, 10 AM–8PM- hours can vary)

- Tennis court (we have rackets)

- Basketball court

From the lodge, you're minutes from Skibowl (15 miles), Timberline Lodge (22 miles), and Mt. Hood Meadows (27 miles) for skiing and snowboarding. Summer opens up world-class hiking on trails like Mirror Lake (15 miles), Tom Dick and Harry Mountain (15 miles), Ramona Falls, and the Timberline Trail. The Sandy River offers fishing, swimming, and floating at nearby access points.

The mountain communities along Highway 26 — Welches, Zigzag, Government Camp — have everything you need: grocery stores, restaurants, breweries, and gear shops. The Brightwood store is just a few minutes away for quick ice or supply runs.

Getting around is easy. The Mt Hood Express and Hoodland Shuttle Co offer transportation services to and around the mountain if you'd rather leave the car parked.

Getting Around:

Parking: Room for 4 cars in the driveway.

EV Charging: A Level 2 EV Charger to ease your range anxieties away.

Timberline Lodge: ~32 min

Mt. Hood Meadows: ~39 min

Other Things to Note:

- Firewood cut to the perfect size is generously provided by the owner - no need to bring your own.

- Flooring: Most of the home is uncarpeted hardwood and tile — many guests appreciate bringing slippers for extra comfort.

- Coffee Station: The Keurig makes both full pots and single cups using pods. A pour-over setup is in the pantry for the coffee purists. Cups and supplies are at the coffee station.

-Please note that this home is in a forested neighborhood setting. There are residents who live in the community full-time that can be highly sensitive to extra noise and traffic. We want you to relax and enjoy your vacation with your friends and family during your stay but please be aware of your volume levels. Please adhere to our # of guests and NO PARTIES policy.

- Quiet hours per the county are 10pm-8 AM.

- No pets are permitted.

- No drugs, smoking or vaping of any kind on the property.

- No outdoor wood fires - a safe propane fire pit is provided instead

Interaction with Guests:

Roaring River Lodge is managed by Cascadia Getaways, an employee-owned Oregon vacation rental company based right here in Mt. Hood country. We provide 24/7 guest support by call, text, or email.

The homeowners poured four years of love into building this home from the ground up, and it shows in every detail. We're proud to help share it with guests who will appreciate the craftsmanship and the setting as much as the family who built it.
