STAY! in this Spacious & Peaceful home on 3+ acres of forest just outside of Kirksville. Only 5 min. east into town or the same going west to the Thousand HillsLake & State Park. Nine minutes to Truman University, A.T. Still University or the downtown square.
OR Stay home & enjoy the peace, quiet of this welcoming home.
NATURE! Enjoy the woods, wildlife & birdsong from the huge back deck & sun room. Cardinals, nuthatch, woodpeckers, blue jays & many more love the feeder on the deck. Deer graze the yard, usually in early morning. Squirrels, chipmunks, turkeys, raccoons all show up. Nature abounds.
SUN ROOM: The sun room brings the outside in for your enjoyment year round. It provides a second living room where family can gather to rest, lounge, play games or visit. Daylight is cheering from the abundant skylights and windows. A forest of oaks surrounds you.
KITCHEN: The home includes a fully equipped, large kitchen. It's a pleasure to work in. Open to all living areas of the home, cooks are part of all the action. All you need bring is your groceries. Full size fridge. Convection oven. Keurig Coffee Maker. We provide spices, oils, & coffee pods. There's a blender, a mixer, grown up cooking & baking pans too.
ARTFUL HOME: The home is spacious & thoughtfully decorated to be a home, not a hotel. The bedrooms & baths are situated on opposite sides of the house. Great for 2 couples traveling together. Inside dining seats 6 or 8. Outside dining table & chairs for 4 is provided on the deck. More outdoor chairs and a grill show up in warm seasons. Books and games for all ages.
DEDICATED WORK SPACES:
Work spaces are located in the living room & master bedroom, as well as a table in the sun room. High speed internet.
QUEEN BEDS: Comfy Queens in both bedrooms, as well as a nice foam Queen folding floor bed. Also a Double pulls out in the living room sofa. These you will make up yourself.
Bedrooms are huge. Bedrooms & baths are situated on opposite sides of the house.
LOCATION & ACCESS:
Our home is very private on over 3 wooded acres, still very easy to access. Short drive to the Thousand Hills Lake or into Kirksville. Directions will be simple with address.
HOST: Willi here, I'm your host, & happy to answer questions. I'm quick in answering requests. I've been a sculptor & potter for over 35 years. You'll see some of my pottery & many friend's artworks in our home. Our family are all makers and enjoy hand crafted items. Laura, my daughter, is my co-host. She lives in Kirksville and is a professor at Truman.
We hear often that our guests feel right at home entering our place. We hope you will enjoy what our home has to offer.
