Nestled just into the country with a beautiful view of the stars by bonfire. 10 long acres of hiking, 1/2 Mile from Black River Preserve and Black River kayaking.
If you like animals feel free to visit our horses in the wooded pasture, or the chickens and barn cats that are closer to our house and pole barn.

We had such an amazing experience staying at this listing. The host was friendly and helpful and the property was great. We enjoyed visiting the chickens and rosters, and loved feeding the horses and the sounds of the water on the pond and pond animals. It was a very close drive to the beach and shops and entertainment. It was just private enough and the camper was clean and perfect for a couple nights stay. We will book again when we return to Michigan. A & T

This was our second time staying at the Romeo Ranch. As before everything was as described, clean, and the hosts were gracious. We were greeted by fresh cut flowers in the rv. As stated in the listing you are to bring your own personal items, but we forgot beach towels and they were happy to help out. The kitchen set up was great as we like to cook for ourselves when we camp and having a stove and refrigerator make that possible. Although the listing excludes kitchen ware they did have a pan and some other extras. The AC worked great and it was a lovely comfortable stay. We just love the property. It’s only 3 miles from the beach, shopping and wine yet you are still in the country. It’s nice to be able to look up at night and see the stars, they also have a great hiking path alongside their wooded horse pasture. We saw deer, some rare birds and even turkeys! We will be coming again it’s the perfect mix of everything. Oh and they have the most beautiful colors of farm fresh eggs at their market stand. Highly recommend! Thanks for being such gracious hosts.

The parking situation was sketchy. The bushes to the camper need trimmed back to make a reasonable driveway. Way overpriced for what it was. In their defense i did know that it was overpriced when i rented it but it was a last minute arrangement. We have stayed in campers before so i knew what to expect but there were things that just didnt make sense. I rent vrbos instead of hotels for use of a kitchen. We often bring and prepare food so i thought when it said stove refrigerator and microwave provided i could use it. We were shocked to find there were pots and pans but no utensils at all. There wasnt even paper towels. We were told these were not provided to keep cost low but it was more expensive than most houses we have rented. We were offered plasic utensils but i had that with me. I wanted to cook. Do you expect people to stay there multiple days and not have to prepare some type of food? We were also dissapointed to find the ac was only being turned on 15 min before we arrived. Its a metal box on a 90 day.. we have never had a camper host wait that long to turn on the ac. Then we came back to find out the ac wasnt even on. It was just a fan so it was still hot for a while. We rent vrbos about twice a year and were most dissatisfied with this one. I have never left a bad review.

Thank you for your honesty and admitting the listing was exactly as stated. The listing is very clear on what is provided, in fact there were extra items beyond that. When you mentioned you forgot items we happily offered to give you help. Our rates are competitive for the area, and very affordable especially for a holiday weekend in South Haven. I’m sorry your expectations exceeded the very clear listing. The check-in instructions also gave two parking options and clearly stated one was a rougher path. You had alternative options. We were however disappointed in the way you left the even with stains and odors and recommend being more careful in the future.

You definitely get what you pay for. It’s close to downtown and a bargain for the area, but there are a lot of trade offs. The biggest concern was the water, which had a very strong sulfur smell. It made using the water at all unpleasant, and showering unbearable. My daughter and I had to leave the RV when my son showered. She and I never used it because it smelled like an outhouse. Even washing dishes difficult because the odor was so overwhelming.The refrigerator was not cold enough when we arrived for us to safely store groceries, so we ended up buying a cooler and ice at Meijer. It was cooler by the time we left but still didn’t seem to reach a proper temperature.Cleanliness also needs improvement. I found dirt, crumbs, and part of a food wrapper underneath the toaster when I was wiping down to leave. The window areas were noticeably dirty. There was also food on the stove top that wasn’t ours.The bunk bed mattresses were very uncomfortable. It felt more like sleeping on a wooden platform than a mattress.There were also security concerns. The side entrance to the trailer could not be locked, which made my kids very uncomfortable at night. We also didn’t have keys to lock up when we weren’t there. A detailed inventory of what’s provided would be helpful. It’s expected that water levels are monitored, but no instructions are given, and the listing photos gave a different impression of the trailer than what we experienced. One image appears to be AI generated.

Funny we never saw anyone but your husband arrive. The only smell we noticed was your his cigarette smoke which broke the vrbo rules. We’ve never had anyone complain about sulfur smells or housekeeping but we will definitely investigate. Thanks for letting us know about that. Not sure the relevance of the photos as the only difference is the bedding because I didn’t have good bedding before renting and have since purchased London Fog bedding. You’re welcome for giving your husband and son free bait, popcorn and other extras.
