It is centrally located: in close proximity to Ringstrasse, City Hall, University, Museumsquartier, Museum of Art History and Natural History, Burgtheater, Volkstheater, Josefstädtertheater. The City Hall with its many events, the City Hall Park, the Parliament are within sight. It is only a few minutes to Karlsplatz, the opera and Stephansplatz, to the parks on Ringstrasse. While the U2 is being rebuilt, the tram line 2 (vis a vis the house) is the next means of transport. In addition, there are Bus 13A, all Ring lines and the U3, Volkstheater station. In the immediate vicinity you will find 3 supermarkets (standard/ superior/ organic), 2 traditional Viennese coffee houses, Viennese Beisln (traditional restaurants), excellent Viennese and international restaurants, original small boutiques. It is only a stone's throw to the biggest Viennese shopping streets (Kärtnerstrasse and Mariahilferstrasse). Josefstädterstrasse, nearby Burggasse and Neubaugasse are among the traditionally popular shopping streets with special charm. The whole eighth district has specific Viennese charm to offer. The Rathauspark very close to the apartment allows carefree sunbathing, relaxing and playing with the children. Also very close: the Volksgarten with its rose bushes.
During the Advent season there are numerous Christmas markets to visit. The oldest and most traditional is the one in the Town Hall Park, two minutes away. On New Year's Eve the famous New Year's Eve trail starts here. In January the whole family can skate on the extensive ice rink.
At any time you can reach the Ringstrasse in a few minutes for a contemplative stroll around the Innere Stadt.
The amusement park Prater can be reached by Tram1 in about 20 minutes. The "Wurstlprater" with its many carousels and the Ferris wheel is famous. The "green Prater" offers playgrounds and opportunities for children and adults and also year-round opportunities for hiking, jogging and biking.
Vienna offers a rich city life with congresses and exhibitions in every season. The opera and theater performances are legendary. There are picturesque neighborhoods and numerous parks for recreation. In spring, the Ringstrasse shines with its abundance of greenery and the blooming roses in the Volksgarten.
Easily accessible is Grinzing, the picturesque Heurigenort with excellent wines and original music, the Vienna Woods for hiking, the vineyards in the south of the city to explore and learn about wines.
