Welcome to Spreitzer’s Vacation Home, the child- and family-friendly vacation home at the foot of Wildenburg Castle—the gateway to the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park—located between the Nahe and Moselle rivers, with plenty of attractive recreational opportunities.
No doors slamming from the guest above you, no loud music from below. You’ll have the entire 115 m² vacation home to yourselves. Here, you can relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.
Our house in Kempfeld was built in 1920 and completely renovated in 2020 with a lot of love and the generous support of our friends, and converted into a vacation home.
It accommodates up to 4 people and is equipped with everything you need for a pleasant vacation. Our vacation home is located in the German Gemstone Route region, a roughly 50 km-long themed route connecting towns and landscapes shaped by gemstone processing and mining.
Along the route, many small businesses invite visitors to tour their facilities and shop. There are also small museums and museum tunnels where agate was once mined.
The German Gemstone Route region specializes primarily in hiking tourism.
The Saar-Hunsrück-Steig hiking trail runs through large parts of the region.
In Idar-Oberstein, there is an approximately 10-kilometer-long hiking trail known as the Nahe-Felsen-Weg, which has been designated a “Traumschleife” (dream loop).
The approximately 20-kilometer-long Copper-Jasper Trail begins in Hintertiefenbach.
The approximately 9-km-long Mittelalterpfad (Medieval Trail), which was named Germany’s most beautiful hiking trail in 2010, winds around the town of Herrstein.
Along the Steinbach Dam, the Köhlerpfad (Charcoal Burner’s Trail) passes through the towns of Sensweiler and Langweiler (near Idar-Oberstein).
In Veitsrodt, there is a hiking trail called the “Stone Guestbook,” where prominent visitors to the Edelsteinstraße have left their mark.
The forested surroundings offer many opportunities for other outdoor activities, such as biking, hiking, jogging, and swimming.
