Cool area, nice house. We were there during a bit of a heat wave but the AC kept up. Lots of little bunnies and birds around and very quiet/private location. Hot tub worked perfectly, beds were comfortable. Communication with the property management was really solid.

Great home for getaway

Loved the isolation and privacy this home affords. Comfortable and very light. Direct view of Mt. Hood was great both inside the house and from the hot tub. Saw a bear and several mule deer.

Magical nature getaway!

Booked this place to be near family reunion in white salmon and intended to bring our dogs. Ended up visiting without them, but would've been a perfect place for them. Didnt spend enough time here, because family party, but hope to visit again soon. Just perfect, and beautiful views!

This is a very nice home. The view of Mt. Hood, the quail, the cottontails, the hot tub, and the birds coming to the feeder are special. There is a lot to do and see in White Salmon and Hood River, including excellent restaurants and wineries. You'll be happy with your stay at this home.

Beautiful Home with Great Views!

Beautiful, clean house, well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Amazing views of Mt. Hood! Easy drive into town, but far enough away that the location is very quiet and feels secluded. Could not see or hear any neighbors the whole stay. Loved watching the sunset turn the mountain pink every night from the hot tub. Highly recommend!

FLEAS & MICE

We had issues with cleanliness and pests during our stay. A mouse got into our car, and we had to buy our own trap and dispose of the dead mouse ourselves. Fleas were jumping on us when we stepped onto the back deck. Dishes and laundry were dirty or not put away properly. I reached out to Vacasa with photos while we were still there and I never got a response. Really disappointing. I will not be renting any Vacasa rentals going forward.

Mean Dog

There was a neglected neighborhood dog at the house who would not leave and attached our daughter while she walked her dog. We called the house manager who came and said this was a constant issue. House manager called the Sheriff who couldnā€™t resolve the issue. Ultimately, we had to leave and stay someplace else.

Stunning Views and Cozy Getaway at White Salmon Cabin

I recently stayed at the White Salmon Cabin in White Salmon, Washington, and it was a wonderful experience. The gorgeous views of Mt. Hood were simply breathtaking, making everything else almost seem irrelevant. Waking up to such a majestic sight every morning was a highlight of my trip. The house itself is OKā€”comfortable and cozy, providing a nice escape from the hustle and bustle. Itā€™s the perfect getaway with quick access to the quaint towns of White Salmon and Hood River, both offering charming shops, great food, and friendly locals. One small concern was the presence of a huge white Husky that stayed at the property 24/7. While the dog was nice and friendly, it could be a concern for those with their own pup or anyone a bit nervous around large dogs. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely return for the spectacular views and peaceful atmosphere.

stunning view and quiet home

This home was a great retreat from the fireworks for our dog. We absolutely loved the Mt. Hood view and got lucky with some beautiful clear skies and views! The hot tub was lovely and we really enjoyed the hammock outside as well. The AC works well but it was a little funky to operate--we ended up having to turn it off a lot because it was actually too cold inside. We would set the temp to 73 or so but then it would chill the rooms to the low 60s for some reason. The home is comfortable and very quiet, and it had everything we needed, including many games and children's books that our daughter loved. A neighbor dog did follow our car up to the house when we first arrived and ended up staying outside the house (even sleeping on the porch) during our stay. It had a collar but no tag and we later learned it's a neighbor's dog that "roams." He made our dog and toddler uncomfortable so being outside was a little tricky.

A hidden treasure

This property is quite the oasis atop the mountains of White Salmon/Hood River. Tucked away up a steep hill, you feel as if you have the mountain to yourself. The backyard is stunning with the best clear view of the stars Iā€™ve ever had in my life, and viewing them from either the awesome hot tub or comfortable hammock is dreamy to say the least. The house itself is super comfortable with separate AC units in each room. The kitchen comes fully stocked and is a great space to cook meals. You just cannot beat the stunning view of Mount Hood from the kitchen window. The only unusual thing about our stay is that a local dog came by the house on our first morning and lingered at our front/back doors for 8+ hours. We are dog people, so it didnā€™t bother us but I imagine it would have frightened those less comfortable with big dogs. We had to contact property management twice to take the dog away, as we were weary about letting our own smaller dog outside with such a bigger (and unfamiliar) dog in the vicinity. All said, we canā€™t wait to book here again to reexperience it ourselves and introduce it to our friends/family. Just a short drive to Hood River, itā€™s a fantastic way to experience the glorious Columbia River Gorge.

Very attractive-nicely furnished and very comfortable. Appreciated original artwork and outstanding book collection. Would have appreciated some more specific directions from White Salmon. And really, the driveway was not that bad.

Comfortable secluded home

I stayed at the home by myself but it would have worked out fine for my small family. Lots of beds, good kitchen and it feels like a nice getaway since youā€™re surrounded by trees. I found the home very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful Stay

This was a wonderful place to stay. Far enough outside town to be away from the bustle, but close enough to enjoy what White Salmon, Bingen, Hood River, etc. have to offer. Clean, plenty of space, great views, and easy to use. Overall great stay.

Great remote location

Couldnā€™t see any neighbors. Great open layout, lots of beds, clean unit. All the supplies we needed in the kitchen. Hot tub was clean and wonderful. Great view of Mt Adamsā€™s if itā€™s not cloudy. It has partial AC and each room has a unit, some rooms cooled better than others. The road was also harder than expected to get into as noted in the posting (we had a dodge caravan) but we made it. One big shower.
