The Space:

A breathtaking setting awaits at this hilltop estate in The Dalles, stunningly situated with sweeping views across vineyards, rolling countryside, and the mighty Columbia River. It's an experience you won't soon forget - watching the sun come up over the river and gathering on the deck at golden hour to tell stories around the gas firepit.



This four-story home enjoys an elevated position up above The Dalles, just over three miles from the heart of town. Its secluded, east-facing position grants it gorgeous sunrise views and wonderful privacy - yet you're still close to all sorts of natural wonders. Take a scenic drive to the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center (seven miles), Rowena Crest (13 miles), the Mosier Plateau Trail (17 miles), or the Coyote Wall Trail (24 miles). Your vacation rental also includes a pass to the Dalles Athletic Club, the largest and only full-service club in the gorge!



Whether your days are spent hiking or windsurfing, you'll delight in returning to this beautiful piece of property. Bring a glass of local wine outside to the terraced deck and watch your kids play in the yard overlooking the river.



Inside, the living room acts as the heart of the home - a place to play board games by the fireplace, stream movies from the comfort of the sofa, or curl up in the window seat with a good book and a great view. There's also an eat-in kitchen (with double ovens, a six-burner gas range, and a French-door fridge) and a window-lined dining room.



The expansive primary suite has the top floor to itself, offering a smart TV, an en suite bathroom with a soaking tub and separate shower, and a loft-like home office for those hoping to work remotely. There are two more bedrooms on the third floor and one on the lower level. A second home office on the bottom floor doubles as a sleeping space and opens to the deck. Other home essentials include a Pack 'N Play, central air, and a washer/dryer.

Relaxing location with great views!

We loved the location in the orchard particularly after a long day of site seeing and hiking. Relaxing on the deck and watching the sun set over the river was wonderful.

Wonderful location in The Dalles

The property which is located in an active cherry orchard is an amazing place to spend time. My family and I loved to wander around the property and take in the views of the river and the gorge. Lots of birds about and it was very relaxing. While feeling very remote the house is quite close to The Dalles so it was easy to pop into town for any items we forgot.

Incredible location!

The home is incredible with sweeping views of Columbia Gorge and The Dalles on a hillside tucked in amidst fruit orchards. While the home is dated (carpet/bathrooms/wallpaper) - it has an updated kitchen, a great outdoor space, hot tub, and both the living and sleeping spaces are great. We really loved staying at this home and likely will look to return. The kitchen could have a couple of items that would make it even better (better knives) and it lacks an outdoor grill, hopefully they will add those for future use. Great place! Vacasa was also very responsive via text to questions we had about check-in, and was a nice feature!

A Dreamy Nook Club Retreat!

Our book club had the most incredible retreat at this cabin in the woods! From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by breathtaking landscapesā€”tall trees, fresh air, and a peaceful setting that made for the perfect escape.The home itself was stunning and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of space for our group to relax and connect. The cozy atmosphere, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable bedrooms made everyone feel right at home. The hot tub was a fantastic bonusā€”thereā€™s nothing like unwinding in the warm water while taking in the gorgeous surroundings!Everything about this stay was accommodating to everyone in our group, making it truly stress-free and relaxing. Whether we were curled up with books by the fire, enjoying meals together, or soaking in the peacefulness of nature, it was an unforgettable experience.If youā€™re looking for a serene, beautiful getaway that combines comfort and relaxation, this is the place! Highly recommend, and weā€™d love to return.
