The Space:

Chipmunk Hollow is a cozy 3-bedroom mountain home built for relaxed Shenandoah getaways. Spend your days hiking, wine tasting, or exploring nearby Skyline Drive, then come back to a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable living spaces, a private hot tub, grill, propane fire table, and covered porch. Warm and thoughtfully designed in a quiet wooded setting, it's an easy place to settle in and feel at home, whether you're here for a weekend escape or a longer mountain retreat.



🍽️ Gather

The open main level is built for time together. After a day outside, the living room is a comfortable place to land, with two plush sofas, extra seating, a 55" TV, and an electric fireplace. The kitchen is fully stocked for meals at home: stainless appliances, a deep farmhouse sink, cookware, serving essentials, and a full coffee station with a Keurig, drip maker, French press, and tea. The dining area seats six for meals, coffee, or a glass of wine.



🛏️ Rest

The home sleeps six across three bedrooms. The primary suite has a king bed, lounge chair, desk, and private ensuite bath. The second bedroom offers a queen with peaceful tree views, and the third has two twin beds plus a desk for anyone who wants a quiet place to work. A second full bathroom sits off the main hallway. Traveling with little ones? A pack 'n play, high chair, and kid-friendly extras are tucked into the bedroom closets.



🔥 Unwind

Outside is where the wooded setting shines. The back deck has a propane fire table, grill, and comfortable seating, a great spot for dinner or a quiet evening under the trees. Just beyond it, the private hot tub is the place to soak and unwind. Out front, the covered porch has rocking chairs and a bistro set for morning coffee, reading, or fresh mountain air.



You'll have the whole home to yourselves: the full main floor and all outdoor spaces, including the hot tub, decks, fire table, grill, and covered porch. The unfinished basement and garage are for emergency use only.

Chipmunk Hollow sits in the Blue Mountain community near Linden, tucked into the Blue Ridge foothills among full-time residents, second homes, and vacation rentals. You're in the heart of Virginia wine country and minutes from the Appalachian Trail, with Skyline Drive, Skyline Caverns, and historic Main Street Front Royal all about 25 minutes away.

🐶 Pets • While we love furry companions, due to allergies and the layout of the home, pets aren't permitted here. If you're traveling with a dog, check our profile for our pet-friendly properties.



🚼 Family-Friendly • We love hosting families and provide a pack 'n play, high chair, and children's tableware. Need more than one of any item? Let us know with a little advance notice.



🚗 Getting Here & Winter Weather • The home is reached by paved and gravel roads, with the final quarter mile on gravel. Parking fits up to three vehicles (trailers and motorcycles aren't recommended). 4WD or AWD is strongly recommended, and may be required, during snow or ice, especially December through February.



🧯 Safety & Cleanliness • All bedding and linens are professionally laundered between reservations. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers, and first aid kits are provided.



🦌 Wildlife & Surroundings • Surrounded by woods, you'll likely spot deer, rabbits, foxes, box turtles, groundhogs, and the occasional black bear nearby. Please don't leave food, trash, or scented items outside, as they can attract wildlife. The home is serviced by a professional pest control company, though the occasional insect may still wander in, part of a true mountain setting. We're a message away if anything seems off.



🏡 Privacy • Chipmunk Hollow sits in a quiet, wooded spot, though neighboring homes are visible and you may occasionally notice neighbors, pets, children, or vehicles nearby. Please help preserve the calm by keeping in mind that voices, music, and noise carry, especially from the deck, hot tub, and fire table.



🧹 Landscaping & Hot Tub Services • Our landscaping or hot tub care team may visit as needed during your stay. Visits are brief, exterior only, and never require access inside; we'll give advance notice when we can.



🌹 Add-On Experiences • Make your stay extra special with romantic touches, celebration décor, fresh flowers, bubbly, and other thoughtful upgrades. These usually need advance notice, but we'll try to accommodate last-minute requests.
