Dear vacation planners,
Our cozy "Alexandrine" apartment is located on the mezzanine level of a historic, protected residential building dating back to 1845, situated on the western shore of the Pfaffenteich—arguably the most beautiful spot right in the heart of wonderful Schwerin.
The apartment is a 3-minute walk from the main train station. If you’re traveling by car, a private parking space is available free of charge in the courtyard of a neighboring residential building. A charging station for electric vehicles is located at the train station, 300 meters away. If you’d like to bring your bicycles, they can be safely stored in the building’s basement. You can set out on a bike ride right from the apartment. The Congress Hall and the open-air theater are a 25-minute walk away.
For a third guest, we’ll set up a comfortable extra bed. You’re welcome to bring your beloved little companions along.
The most famous sights, such as Schwerin Castle and the theater, are within walking distance through the charming alleys of the Old Town. The pier for a steamboat ride across Lake Schwerin is right next to Schwerin Castle. Just a 5-minute walk away, the Schwerin Castle Park Center and the Marienplatzgalerie, as well as the little shops on Mecklenburg Street, invite you to enjoy some shopping.
You can start your day off right with a hearty breakfast at the neighboring Niederländischer Hof. Self-catering is also possible using our small kitchenette. In the Old Town, small pubs, bars, and cozy restaurants invite you to enjoy lunch or dinner. After a stroll through the Old Town, round out the day with a glass of wine on one of the park benches along the banks of the Pfaffenteich or with a cozy evening in front of the TV.
We look forward to seeing you and will warmly welcome you with a small gift.
Best regards, Marcel and Alexandra
