Step inside and settle in -- every room and amenity in this home is yours for your stay. The private hot tub is available around the clock -- no reservation needed. Driveway parking is available at the property. Detailed check-in instructions, including the door code, will be provided prior to your arrival. As a guest, you also have access to Sea Ranch community amenities including the pools, tennis courts, fitness center, and miles of trails. A recreation pass will be provided.
The Neighborhood:
Welcome to The Sea Ranch -- ten miles of rugged Sonoma coastline where modern architecture and wild nature exist in harmony. Nearby highlights include community heated pool (North) (13-minute walk), Shell Beach tidepools (7-minute drive), The Sea Ranch Lodge restaurant, lounge and café (7-minute drive). The community features miles of bluff-top and forest trails, tidepools, two heated community pools, a fitness center, tennis courts, and The Sea Ranch Lodge with its restaurant, lounge and café. For provisions, Gualala (10 minutes south) has grocery stores, restaurants, and a gas station. Jenner and Bodega Bay are scenic drives south.
Getting Around:
Plan for a 2.5-hour drive from San Francisco (Highway 101 to Highway 1). If flying, Santa Rosa's Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS) is the closest option at about 90 minutes east. You'll want a car here -- the winding coastal roads are half the adventure.
Other Things to Note:
Sea Ranch has three recreation centers with heated pools, saunas, and tennis courts. Access passes are provided with your stay -- check availability upon arrival as these shared amenities can be popular during peak times.
Exterior lighting is minimal by design to preserve the stunning dark sky -- bring a flashlight for evening walks and enjoy some of the best stargazing on the California coast.
December through April is whale season. You may spot gray whales breaching right from the bluff trail nearby. Wildflower season (April-June) transforms the coastal bluffs into a tapestry of color -- worth an extra walk on the trails. Summer offers long days and warm afternoons, though the iconic Sonoma Coast fog often rolls in at sunrise and clears by noon.
Cell service can be spotty along the coast. The home has WiFi for staying connected.

Amazing house
This was an amazing house. I rent a lot of places at Sea Ranch and this was a bit more than I would typically pay, but it was an a great place and worth the money.

Exceptional
We were only the second renters and it showed. The home is beautiful throughout -- light and bright.
Looks straight out of the pages of Restoration Hardware. So many thoughtful details and craftsmanship, it's hard to call them all out, but I'll note the kitchen, bathrooms, and wood moulding work throughout. Also lots of tech, which I love.
Bluff trail a couple of minute walk away, nut ocean still visible from the home. We saw several whales from the large picture windows while sitting on the couch.
Tesla charger in garage, which was a very pleasant surprise as it wasn't in the listing and charging is scarce in this area.
