Enjoy the fantastic view of the lake in Björnhult, located just 100 meters from this typically Swedish yet modern vacation home!
Renovated in 2021, this wooden house offers guests contemporary amenities for a relaxing family vacation in southern Sweden. In 2024, we renovated the kitchen in a country-style design. For sunny days, the house features an open area for games, sports, and fun, as well as a beautiful, large wooden deck; there are also forests and hiking trails in the immediate vicinity.
It’s just 100 meters to the lake and the swimming beach, a lovely little lakeshore with a picnic area and playground. The lake is perfect for paddling trips, such as on a SUP or in a canoe.
Inside the house, the open-concept kitchen/living area features a dining and seating area ideal for family life. There are also two bedrooms—one with a double bed and one with two single beds—as well as another bedroom with a single bed, and a large bathroom with a shower, toilet, sink, and washing machine. On the large terrace on the south side of the house, you can always find a sunny spot in the fresh air; two wooden lounge chairs and a parasol are available.
The small village of Björnhult is located exactly at the intersection of the towns of Målilla, Mörlunda, and Kristdala. The surrounding area is heavily forested, with small villages and many lakes.
Of course, there are plenty of places to visit in the area: a moose park is very close by, Astrid Lindgren’s Vimmerby isn’t far, and you can reach the Baltic Sea in 15 minutes. The tourist office in Hultsfred or the website visitsmaland.se can provide further assistance.
Just 15 km away is the town of Oskarshamn, which offers restaurants, shopping, and, among other things, a swimming pool. Here you’ll find the Baltic Sea coast and the ferry to Gotland https://www.directferries.de/oskarshamn_faehre.htm, Museums: https://www.guidebook-sweden.com/en/guidebook/destination/oskarshamns-sjoefartsmuseet-maritime-museum-oskarshamn, https://oskarshamn.com/product/oskarshamns-grafiska-museum/, https://www.bimon.se/.
