This stylishly restored half-timbered house, built in 1730, spans 370 square meters across three floors and can accommodate 1–8 adults and 2 children. The house is located in an idyllic village; a bakery, restaurants, and other shops are within walking distance. The surrounding area offers numerous opportunities for day trips and hikes, including in the Black Forest.<br><br><br>Your accommodation:<br>Our house offers families, friends, and extended families an ideal retreat that will pamper you with the highest standards, stylish details, and state-of-the-art amenities. The house spans 3 floors with a total area of 370 square meters. <br><br>1st Floor:<br><br>*Kitchen*: fully equipped and open-concept—perfect for anyone who loves to cook or simply wants to enjoy a cup of coffee.<br><br>*Dining Room*: Everyone can gather around the spacious wooden dining table to enjoy their meal while the fireplace crackles beautifully in the background.<br><br>*Children’s Room*: For our youngest guests, there’s a cheerful children’s room with plenty of toys, great books, and a slide. Two children can sleep in the bunk bed, which is designed to look like a little wooden cabin. A fold-up crib and a high chair are available for babies.<br><br>*Bedrooms*: We offer 2 bedrooms with cozy beds (1 box spring bed from Beluga) and high-quality hotel-style linens for restful nights.<br><br>*Living Room*: Here, you can relax on the comfortable couch in front of the smart TV with Netflix. For those who still have work to do, a workspace is available. <br><br>*Bathroom*: The high-end bathroom with underfloor heating features a large walk-in shower with a rain showerhead and a 3-way handheld showerhead by Grohe. A large wall mirror above the sink, an illuminated makeup mirror, a Bluetooth sound system, and a spacious cabinet perfectly round out the bathroom. Next door is an additional guest restroom. <br><br>*Terrace*: Shielded from prying eyes, you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast in the summer or relax on the sun lounger.<br><br>2nd Floor:<br>Studio: For those who enjoy being creative, feel free to grab a brush, paints, and paper and leave behind a work of art. The light-filled work table is a wonderful place to put your thoughts down on paper. <br>Living and Dining Area: Open-concept with large skylights, a dining table that seats 4, 2 sofas, and a small children’s play area with toys available.<br><br>Bedroom: Sleep romantically in a cozy box-spring bed beneath the exposed timber beams. For book lovers, there’s a small book collection and a clothing rack.<br><br>Bathroom: The spacious and modern bathroom, filled with natural light and featuring underfloor heating, offers an open walk-in shower with a rain showerhead and handheld shower, a large sink with a mirror above it, and a lighted makeup mirror. <br><br>3rd Floor:<br>Bedroom: with two antique wooden single beds (90x200 and 90x190). The skylights offer a great view of the village and the town hall spire. <br><br><br>Location:<br>The half-timbered house is located in Königsbach-Stein, right in the heart of the historic center of the half-timbered village of Stein. A bakery, restaurants, a snack bar, a hair salon, a small grocery store, town hall, post office, and local history museum are all within walking distance. Despite its central location, you can enjoy peace and privacy here. <br>The house is ideal for exploring destinations in and around the Black Forest. It takes 20 minutes to get to Karlsruhe and 15 minutes to Pforzheim. <br><br>The village of Stein features a local history museum, the 16th-century Storchenturm (Stork Tower), and great playgrounds for children.
