Above Expectations

Nice home, Good location. Had all the amenities we needed and was overall clean and comfortable. My only complaint is the couch and throw pillows need to be replaced, or deep cleaned, smelled like wet dog.

A quiet place to stay and enjoy Acadia

This was a lovely little home, perfect for our family of three! It was located in a quiet, rural setting away from all the busyness of traffic and tourism. We were only a 20-minute drive to Acadia National Park and enjoyed many hikes there. We also enjoyed the small stores on our way back and forth to the park which met all our needs. We enjoyed a delicious lobster dinner (our first!) at one of the lobster shacks located along the way to and from the park. The only thing I recommend for the house is a good teflon skillet for cooking our meals.

Lisa - thank you for your feedback after your recent stay at Bampi's Dream. The location is so nice and close to Acadia but away from the busiest area for sure. Lobster shacks are a great place to have your first, second or third Maine lobster! Thank you for the feedback on the frying pan. We will look into replacing or adding that to the home.

Amazing!

We stayed at Bampi's Dream for 5 days at the end of June. The home was close to everything, well-equipped, very comfy, and had such cute decor. We appreciated the air conditioned bedrooms, the kitchen with pots, dishes, utensils…all we needed. The couch was comfortable and the washer/dryer was especially useful after hiking in Acadia every day. Well-done! We hope to return in the near future. Thank you!

This house was clean, comfortable, quiet neighborhood with a large yard and had everything that we needed. It’s about 1/2 hour from Acadia National Park, where we spent most of our time.

Excellent

The house was very comfortable and relaxing. My friend and I had a girl's weekend away and the house was perfect. It was the little details that we really noticed such as having a new sponge and dish soap in the kitchen, hampers in the bedrooms, and nightlights that double as flashlights. The only thing we did notice is that there is a slight smell of dog in the house even though it is a “no pets” property. We would stay there again.

Awesome stay!

The place was clean and easy to get to. We found it very easy to get to Acadia and Bar Harbor from here and anything we needed was within a 10 minute drive. Overall a very pleasant experience!

Maine Vacation

This house was perfect being right outside of the island. About a 30 min drive to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia. Clean house, comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen.

Wonderful time!

We had a great experience here! The house is beautiful and the beds were comfy! The outside landscaping needs some loving, which dropped a star for the rating. Close to Acadia & Bar Harbor.

A fantastic getaway

Bampi Time

The house is in the quiet country. You have the pleasure of quiet, restful, peaceful down time, yet restaurants & grocers are only 15 minutes away. It provides a lovely yard for children to play in & a nice place for enjoying a fire and/or night skies.

Great location!

We loved the house and location. The property was incredibly clean and everything was ready for occupancy when we arrived. The fire pit area was peaceful and the kitchen was stocked with necessary tools. Be prepared to purchase/provide basic spices & seasonings for cooking, if you love to cook like we do. It’s not a problem, but just good to know. The location was perfect for exploring Acadia NP, Bar Harbor and Bangor. And if you’re interested in a more extensive road trip (we chased the sun on a rainy day), the proximity to New Brunswick is also convenient. Multiple board games and cards are available to entertain during a stormy night in. There isn’t a lot of space for walking/running right out the door, but there is a short trail just up the road and Lamoine Beach is a short drive away too. I highly recommend this place!

Wonderful house but poor property management

My wife, 2 sons and I stayed here. Loved the house. It was perfect for us. However, we had an issue when we arrived that made our trip get off to a rough start. There was no hot water. I contacted the property manager and there were no crews available to help. The vacasa representative instructed me to go in the basement and check on things. They said they would get a crew there hopefully the next day. After a couple hours I figured out the issue on my own. I requested a partial refund or credit for the inconvenience and was given an apology. I felt that was not reasonable and will avoid booking homes managed by vacasa in the future.
