The Space:

Welcome to The Royal Barracks Guest House, a historic and eccentric six-room oasis in the French Quarter. Your private room is a vibrant retreat designed for comfort and convenience.



Your Private Room Features:

Vibrant, eclectic decor with an ornamental fireplace.

A private, en-suite bathroom.

A convenient kitchenette nook equipped with a microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee maker.



Shared Guest Space:

Step outside your room into our stunning shared courtyard. This lush, brick-paved patio is an exclusive amenity for our guests, featuring shady Magnolia trees and comfortable seating. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening cocktail.



Guest Access:

Guests will have full and private access to their individual guest room and its en-suite bathroom.



All guests are welcome to enjoy the beautiful shared courtyard space at any time.



For your security, the property is accessed via a locked gate, and all rooms are entered through private exterior corridors.



The Neighborhood:

Famous for its vibrant energy and historic charm, the French Quarter offers something around every corner. Lively Bourbon Street is filled with jazz clubs, Cajun restaurants, and iconic cocktail bars, while quieter nearby streets lead to the French Market’s local shops and gourmet bites. Stroll to Jackson Square to enjoy street performers and artists gathered beneath the beautiful St. Louis Cathedral, one of New Orleans’ most recognizable landmarks.



Getting Around:

Shops, music venues, and beloved 24-hour eateries are all just steps away. The streetcar line and public transportation are within a few blocks (see the New Orleans RTA website for routes and schedules). Uber and Lyft are also readily available and offer an easy, affordable, and safe way to explore the Crescent City.



No on-site parking is available. Limited street parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis, but guests should carefully follow posted residential restrictions and street-cleaning schedules and park at least 20 feet from crosswalks to avoid tickets or towing.



Several paid parking lots are nearby. The closest is Premium Parking P408 at 2150 Decatur Street. Free unrestricted street parking may sometimes be found outside the French Quarter but is not guaranteed.



Other Things to Note:

This is a six-room guesthouse, operating similarly to a bed & breakfast, but we do not provide breakfast. Each room is booked individually.
