Beautiful cabin, but the wasps need attention

The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was somewhat unhappy with the location.
I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

We understand that the cabin is located in the middle of the woods, so seeing insects is expected. However, there was one issue that really affected our stay. There were a large number of wasps gathered above the front door, and every time we opened or closed the door, they became aggressive. My partner and I were both stung multiple times, and the stings were extremely painful.I believe it would be a good idea for the property management to regularly treat the area around the cabin, especially the front entrance, to help keep wasps and other insects away. It would also be helpful to provide guests with a can of wasp spray or insect repellent inside the cabin as part of the standard amenities, just in case.Another small issue was that the yellow decorative lights around the cabin were not working during our stay.Other than those issues, we really enjoyed our visit. The cabin was very clean, comfortable, and peaceful. We had a very relaxing stay, and the interior was well maintained. With a little more attention to the insect problem, this would be an even better place to stay.
