Welcome to the “Sehnsucht” vacation rental—our thatched-roof Kittler captain’s house in Wiek on Rügen. It’s located at the end of a very quiet residential neighborhood in the resort town of Wiek and is just a few minutes’ walk from the Wieker Bodden. From here, you’ll have an ideal starting point for all kinds of excursions! Go for a bike ride, hike on the wonderful Wittow Peninsula, or set out from the charming little harbor in Wiek for a trip to Hiddensee—where you can enjoy a delicious fish sandwich or take in the stunning sunsets. The visitor’s tax for Wiek is also not included in the trip price and will be applied for by the property owner at the tourism office prior to your arrival. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us by phone.<br><br>Information about the accommodation / property:<br><br>Your “Die Sehnsucht” duplex vacation apartment (for up to 6 people) is located on the 1st floor / attic (loft) of the left side of the semi-detached house and is accessible via a staircase. You enter the apartment through the beautiful, brightly decorated hallway. From here, you have access to all other rooms: the bathroom, the separate bedroom, and the particularly light-filled living/dining area with an open kitchen.<br> <br>In the living area, you’ll find a cozy couch (which can be quickly converted into a sleeping area in the evening), a recamier for relaxing, comfortable armchairs with a coffee table, and a TV unit with a flat-screen TV and CD radio. <br><br>Through the beautiful bat-wing dormer, you have a view of the garden area of the vacation rental below. <br><br>The dining area consists of a solid wood dining table with 6 chairs. A high chair is available upon request.<br><br>The kitchen area features a fully equipped kitchenette with an oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker, toaster, egg cooker, blender, and other kitchen utensils. From here, you can also step out onto the balcony, where you can start your day with a leisurely breakfast.<br><br>A wooden staircase leads from the kitchen/dining area up to the attic. Here you’ll find up to four additional sleeping spots, a small table, and a wardrobe.<br><br>You enter the separate, cozy bedroom from the hallway. Here you’ll find a large double bed and a very spacious wardrobe. You can also access the balcony from the bedroom.<br><br>The underfloor heating in the apartment plays a key role in ensuring your comfort, especially during colder temperatures.<br><br>The natural-light bathroom is equipped with a bathtub, shower, and a mirror cabinet, and a small hair dryer is also available.<br><br>Location information:<br><br>In just a few minutes by car, you can reach the unique stone beach in Dranske, Nonnevitz, the parking lot for Kap Arkona / Vitt, or the fine-sand beach at the Baltic Sea resort of Juliusruh on the Schaabe peninsula.<br>Right in town, you’ll find a small Edeka supermarket, a Sparkasse bank, a pizzeria, restaurants, a kitesurfing camp, a fishing shop, and bike rentals. A bakery provides your breakfast rolls or a slice of cake to go with your coffee.
