Adjacent to Kempten, the metropolis of the Allgäu region, the town of Lauben offers both proximity to urban life and the tranquility and natural beauty of a rural community.
Our vacation rental is located at the end of a cul-de-sac in an absolutely quiet setting on the outskirts of Lauben. The apartment is self-contained and has its own separate entrance. From the living room window or the patio, you can enjoy an unobstructed view across the Iller floodplains to the grove of trees lining the river. A bank branch, restaurants, an EDEKA grocery store, and a bakery with a coffee shop are all nearby. are all nearby, or you can visit the factory outlet of the local Champignon cheese dairy.
You can explore the town—which has a population of about 3,500—or the neighboring communities on well-marked hiking and biking trails. Kempten is about a 10-minute drive away, or you can take the city bus, which runs hourly and takes you directly to the city center or to Kempten’s numerous attractions.
The excellent infrastructure makes it easy to take trips into the pre-Alpine or Alpine regions, and you can quickly reach all the tourist destinations in the area, such as Oberstdorf/Kleinwalsertal, the Tannheimer Valley, Füssen, or Lindau on Lake Constance, as well as all the swimming lakes in the Allgäu.
