Sobre o anfitrião
Anfitrião: Gary Shoulders
Born and raised in Tennessee.
Where I’m From & My Story: I grew up running to Perry County to escape the hustle and bustle of Nashville. For my entire life, this beautiful pocket of Tennessee served as my musical family’s ultimate getaway and sanctuary when we were not traveling, on tour, or simply working. It was our place to unplug, tune out the noise of the world, and let creativity and family bonds thrive.
The property was named Creeker’s Corner by my late mother, alongside our closest family and friends. It holds a deeply sacred place in our hearts, and we take immense pride in preserving the warm, welcoming, and artistic spirit we envisioned for it.
What I Enjoy: When I’m not hosting, you’ll usually find me enjoying the incredible outdoor life that Perry County is famous for—whether that's boating, spending a quiet day on the water, or soaking in the local music culture. To me, there is nothing better than a slow morning watching the mist rise over the ridges, followed by a day out on the river. Once home, building a fire out front, and watching the sun set west from our front porch. Once of the best views ever.
Why I Love Being a Host: I became a host to share the magic of this sanctuary with others. There is a restorative peace here that you simply cannot find anywhere else. I love providing a space where families and friends can gather, slow down, write their own stories, and truly connect.
Our local motto is "It's in our Nature," and we live by that every day. When you stay at Creeker’s Corner, you aren't just renting a house—you are being welcomed into our family's little heart of a community. We can’t wait to host you!

Welcome to our little slice of heaven. Whether you came here to spend long summer days boating on the river, hiking through the woods, or simply escaping the fast pace of city life, we are so incredibly grateful to share this home with you.
This property was named Creeker’s Corner by my late mother, alongside our closest family and friends. We envisioned this house as a place of warmth, laughter, and deep relaxation. We take immense pride in keeping that exact welcoming spirit alive for every single guest who walks through our doors.
O que faz essa propriedade ser única?
Pineview is one of those timeless, "blink-and-you’ll-miss-it" unincorporated treasures in Perry County. It sits quietly along State Route 438, framed beautifully between the Buffalo River to its east and Mousetail Landing State Park to its west.
The Name: True to its name, Pineview got its moniker simply because of its geography. When early settlers moved into the ridges splitting the Buffalo and Tennessee River basins, they were met with dense, towering stands of yellow pines. Standing on the high ridges looking down over the valleys, the panoramic views of the pine canopy gave the community its natural name.
The History: Back in the 19th and early 20th centuries, Perry County’s economy relied heavily on its timber, gristmills, and the roaring iron furnaces (like the nearby historic Cedar Grove Furnace). Pineview served as a vital, rural crossroads for families traveling between the river ports and the town of Lobelville. By the 1930s and 40s, it was a classic country stop, complete with a local schoolhouse and a wooden Esso gas station where farmers and travelers would swap stories.
Over the decades, as the hustle and bustle moved closer to major highways, Pineview gracefully resisted the urge to "grow up." Instead, it became exactly what our family needed and used it for: a peaceful sanctuary. It's a place where the air smells like fresh pine, the nights are perfectly dark, and the river and lakes are always calling—making it the true "Heart of the Community."
