The vacation home is located within walking distance of both the forest and the lake, on the outskirts of Bringhausen on a small hill, completely surrounded by old beech and oak trees that almost completely block the view of the house in the summer.
Only when you enter the property’s driveway can you catch your first glimpse of the house—built in a Mediterranean-style—behind a sparse grove of beech trees. The solidly built house has two living units with separate entrances. The ground-floor apartment is rented to vacationers, while the apartment on the upper floor and in the attic is used by the owners.
From the driveway, a path on the north side of the house leads up the hill to the entrance on the upper floor, which is used by the owners. A path paved with travertine will be built here in the coming years.
A level gravel path leads you along beneath the trees to the southwest side of the house. There, you’ll reach the entrance to the vacation rental via a large terrace paved with travertine. A narrow path winds around the sunroom to another terrace on the southeast side of the house.
Natural light will fill the apartment throughout the day. In the morning, sunlight streams in through the conservatory windows and moves around the house as the day progresses, until the last rays of the sun bid the day farewell on the terrace and in the kitchen in the evening. Nevertheless, thanks to the shade provided by the trees, the apartment remains pleasantly cool even on hot days, even without air conditioning.
There is also ample parking space for your car.
Wald & See Vacation Rental:
Located on the first floor of the house, this vacation rental offers nearly 60 square meters of comfortable space for two people.
You enter the apartment through the door of the large southwest-facing terrace after entering a unique numeric code valid only for you.
To your right is the large, fully glass-enclosed sunroom; straight ahead is the open-concept living and kitchen area, decorated in light colors. The floors throughout the apartment are covered with Italian terracotta tiles, all walls are finished with light-colored lime plaster, and the doors are painted white. Nautical accents in the living room, kitchen, and bathroom create a connection to the water and the lake.
A wide sofa and two Acapulco chairs invite you to sit back and relax, chat, or enjoy a movie or TV night in front of the smart TV. In the sunroom, you’ll find a leather-upholstered rocking chair with a footstool and a reading lamp, where you can reflect on the day’s experiences in the evening sun.
The fully equipped kitchen, featuring an oven, range hood, induction cooktop, and dishwasher, is perfect for cooking together. Afterward, enjoy your dinner on the terrace or at the large glass table in the kitchen area.
Separated from the living area by a wall featuring illuminated portholes is the apartment’s sleeping area. A comfortable 160-cm-wide box-spring bed with mattresses of varying firmness ensures a peaceful and restful night’s sleep. Earth tones and shades of green dominate the space, creating a connection to the nearby forest. The forest motif is also reflected in the illuminated exterior light well.
From the living room, you pass through a small hallway with a wall mirror and coat rack to reach the bathroom. A floor-level rain shower, a modern vanity, and direct and indirect LED lighting with adjustable colors provide you with the comfort you desire.
The apartment is rounded out by a separate storage room with a wall cabinet and a safe, high-speed Wi-Fi (50 Mbit), a smart TV, and an audio system with SONOS technology. A filter coffee maker and Nespresso machine, toaster, and hair dryer are, of course, also provided; the bedroom and bathroom are equipped with window screens.
Two terraces—totaling nearly forty square meters—on the southeast and southwest sides of the apartment allow you to follow the sun all day long or find a shady spot. In case of bad weather, the sunroom serves as your light-filled retreat.
Outside, you’ll find two lounge chairs with a parasol, a large dining table with four chairs, and a small seating area on the southeast side of the apartment. A charcoal kettle grill lets you prepare delicious grilled specialties. With a good glass of wine and candlelight, you can wind down the evening on the terrace.
As you do so, you’ll discover the apartment’s greatest treasure—peace and quiet. Apart from the occasional snorting of the horses in the adjacent pasture, the pounding of a woodpecker, or the cack
