The property was clean, just in a very old and outdated apartment. New flooring was nice, but isn’t installed correctly. The step down moved when you walked from the kitchen area to the living area. Bathroom was okay. New toilet which is nice, but the bathtub need to be replaced. The coating was chipped off, and also needs recaulked. The hot water also didn’t work very well. I reached out after my son and I both had to take cold showers because the water never got hot after letting it run for almost 10 minutes. The owner said he would have the maintenance man check the boiler and the next day the water was warm, for our showers. Main living area was clean, although there was a broken chair at the desk that needs to be thrown away. My son sat in it and he almost fell to the ground, because there was a broken leg being held together with some string. The “couch” was one half of a sectional, that we didn’t even want to sit on because it was dirty, and lumpy. Also the metal connectors where the missing part of the sectional should be, were exposed and my son cut his toe on it, when he walked by the couch. Kitchen was okay, outdated, but we didn’t use anything in there except for the fridge where we stored water. Beds were comfortable and clean. A/C window unit worked great, and kept us cool on the unusually hot Chicago weekend we were there. Not much of a view, overlooked a roof with old rugs and a cart full of trash. Located in “Little India” neighborhood, so great food around.
