Malzow is a small, idyllically situated former farming village in the Stepenitz and Maurine lowlands, not far from Lake Dassow and the Baltic Sea beaches of Lübeck Bay, at the entrance to the Klützer Winkel. In our traditional Mecklenburg hall house from 1837, the “Malzower Reethuus,” we rent out three stylish, cozy vacation apartments. The original half-timbered construction is visible throughout and gives the house its particularly charming character. The beautiful two-room apartment “Laube,” with exposed half-timbering and accommodating up to three people, is located on the first floor facing west. Through the patio door, you have direct access to your own small, furnished seating area and to the mature garden, which is perfect for relaxing, playing, and barbecuing. Forget about everyday life, enjoy nature, and recharge—at the Malzower Reethuus, you’ll find peace and quiet. Bike rides and hikes through the magnificent landscapes of northwestern Mecklenburg, trips to the Baltic Sea for swimming, city excursions to Lübeck, Wismar, Schwerin, or even Hamburg, or a concert at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival at Bothmer Castle near Klütz—all of this is possible from here. Your vacation is whatever you make of it—we look forward to welcoming you!
Be sure to check out the other apartments at the Malzower Reethuus as well:
– The “Mansarde,” a quaint attic apartment for up to 4 people (2 adults, 2 children) with a bathroom and kitchenette;
- The “Alkoven,” a lovely one-room apartment with a kitchenette and bathroom for 2 people
