The space
If you love exploring on foot, this place is a dream: just 5 minutes walk to Hoan Kiem Lake, 3 minutes to the Opera House, and 5 minutes to the Old Quarter.

Every major attraction is right around the corner - yet the street itself is calm, peaceful, and filled with lovely local cafés and delicious food spots.

What makes this apartment special is the bright kitchen and dining area opening onto a balcony with a full street view.

Morning sunlight pours in, the street feels alive but gentle, and you get a rare sense of openness that almost no home in the central district has.

Both bedrooms also enjoy natural light, something longtime Hanoians will tell you is a true luxury here.

We’ve kept the original Indochine soul of the apartment. The century-old windows are fully preserved, the handcrafted encaustic tiles are the same style used in old Hanoi villas, and the wardrobes and shelves are made from precious hardwood that’s no longer legally harvested in Vietnam.

You’ll also find beautiful handmade ceramics from traditional artisans and artwork we selected with great care.

Every corner has been thoughtfully looked after-nothing fancy or pretentious, just a warm, charming, and genuinely well-loved home that we hope brings you the same comfort it brings us.

The apartment is located in a very central and very safe part of Hanoi. Security here is excellent - you’ll often see (or not see!) plain-clothes police around, so there’s really nothing to worry about. Our neighbors are friendly too, though many of them don’t speak much English.

All the main amenities and equipment are shown in the listing photos, so feel free to take a look. The home is fully equipped and comfortable for families, even for longer stays.

You’ll have full, private access to the entire apartment.

We’re on the 3rd floor (ground, 1st, 2nd, 3rd) with no elevator, so it’s a little daily workout, but the stairs are gentle and there’s a ramp in the middle to roll your suitcase. The reward: plenty of natural light and a lovely street view.

On the ground floor there is a shared iron gate that’s usually locked late at night. I’ll leave you a key card for the apartment door and a key for the gate in the lockbox, so you can come and go any time.

The small cabinet outside our door is used as a laundry dropbox, and you can also use it for deliveries (though couriers don’t always love climbing to the 3rd floor, haha).

Inside, all 4 AC units are two-way (cooling & heating), so you’ll be comfortable in any season. The washer has a drying function and detergent is provided, so no need to visit a laundromat. The microwave also has an oven function if you feel like baking.

Please don’t lean or step on the balcony railing for safety. The hot-water boiler has a switch outside the bathroom door (also for the kitchen sink) – kindly turn it off after use to help me save on the utility bill. The key card is also used in the power slot to activate electricity for the ACs and both bedrooms.
