A lovingly redesigned oasis right on the edge of the forest.
The lower floor is perfect for a getaway for two, any time of year. Whether as a starting point for hiking and biking tours in the Swabian Alb Biosphere Reserve or simply to unwind for a few days and enjoy nature.
In “tiny house mode,” however, the entire cottage also offers space for, say, two families spread across three bedrooms, accommodating a total of seven guests.
In the summer, the terrace is perfect for barbecuing and relaxing.
The “<br>” accommodation: fuchs & hase
This 65-square-meter cottage has been passed down through four generations, and we recently gave it a fresh new look and customized its design.
However, we were determined to preserve its 1970s retro charm and cozy cabin atmosphere. Natural materials and sustainability were also very important to us.
The lower level is perfect year-round for a getaway for two—whether as a starting point for hikes and bike rides in the Swabian Alb or simply to unwind for a few days and watch the deer grazing.
In “tiny house mode,” however, the entire cottage can also accommodate two families across three bedrooms, for a total of seven guests. A baby crib is also available.
On the terrace, you can fire up the grill, spread out in the garden, or simply enjoy nature. The cottage is located right on the edge of the forest, and in the evenings, the fire pit invites you to enjoy rustic nights under the starry sky.
Since almost all of the other cottages are privately owned and used only sporadically, you’ll usually be left undisturbed even during peak vacation seasons.
The “Schwäbische Alb” Biosphere Reserve offers not only pristine stretches of forest that are perfect for long hikes but also many other attractive destinations in the immediate vicinity.
In the summer, the climbing park and the summer toboggan run, both within walking distance (about 10 minutes), make for quick day trips.
In winter, you’ll find the toboggan hill and even a small ski lift with a 700-meter ski slope right there for some winter sports—provided there’s snow, of course ;)
By car, you can reach the “Bärenhöhle” (Bear Cave)—one of the oldest caves in the Swabian Alb—and the popular “Traumland” amusement park in just 10 minutes.
The view from the “Albtrauf” all the way to Stuttgart or into the Black Forest is also impressive.
By the way:
The Beerenhalde is actually home to a variety of berries, such as raspberries, wild cherries, wild strawberries, and many more. With a little know-how, you can pick your own fresh wild herb salad right from the meadow.
