Perched above beautiful Lac Courte Oreilles Lake, Lookout Lodge offers breathtaking lake views, a private dock, sandy swimming area, and one of the most unique features on the lake, an active eagle's nest visible right from the property. Whether you're watching eagles soar overhead, relaxing by the fireplace, or spending the day on the water, this Northwoods retreat is a wonderful place for families and friends to reconnect and make lasting memories.



Located on more than 150 feet of private frontage on crystal-clear Lac Courte Oreilles Lake, Lookout Lodge combines the rustic charm of a classic Northwoods cabin with modern comforts and stunning lake views. The home sits on a scenic hillside overlooking the lake, providing incredible views from the living room and kitchen while still offering convenient access to the waterfront. Guests can also drive a vehicle down toward the dock area, making it easier to unload coolers, fishing gear, and water toys.



The moment you walk through the front door, you'll be greeted by soaring vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a stunning stone fireplace that anchors the main living area. Large windows bring the outdoors in, filling the home with natural light and offering beautiful lake views throughout the day. Warm wood finishes and classic Northwoods character create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere that instantly feels like vacation.



Sleeping Arrangements

Lookout Lodge comfortably accommodates up to nine guests and offers a variety of sleeping spaces that work especially well for families and groups.



On the main floor, there are two private bedrooms:


One bedroom with a queen bed
One bedroom with a twin bed




The upper level includes:


A sleeping room with a queen bed
A sleeping area with a full bed
An open landing at the top of the stairs with four twin beds




Please note that the four twin beds are located in an open sleeping area at the top of the stairs and are not in a private bedroom. This setup can be a fun sleeping space for kids, teens, or additional members of the group, but we want guests to understand the layout before booking.



The home has two full bathrooms and one half bathroom. There is one full bathroom on the main floor, a half bathroom off the kitchen, and one full bathroom upstairs that serves the upper-level sleeping areas.



Enjoy Lac Courte Oreilles

Lac Courte Oreilles, often referred to simply as LCO, is one of Wisconsin's premier recreational lakes. Covering more than 5,000 acres, this spring-fed lake is known for its clear water and excellent fishing, boating, water skiing, tubing, swimming, and sailing. Guests enjoy exploring the many bays and islands, visiting the famous sandbar, and boating to local restaurants and resorts around the lake.



The private waterfront area includes a dock and sandy swimming area that's great for enjoying summer days at the lake. Spend your mornings fishing, afternoons swimming in the clear water, and evenings relaxing by the fire while watching the lake. One of the best features of Lookout Lodge is being able to enjoy the elevated lake views from the house while still having access to your own waterfront area.



LCO is an amazing boating lake. Its clear water and expansive size make it ideal for swimming, skiing, fishing, tubing, and cruising. We offer pontoon rental options for guests looking to spend even more time on the water. Our pontoons are shared among our lakefront properties and often book early, especially during peak summer weeks, so please inquire about availability when making your reservation.



Several public boat launches are also conveniently located nearby for guests bringing their own boat.



A Northwoods Property Made for the Outdoors

Lookout Lodge is a great choice for guests who want to spend their vacation outside. Relax around the fire pit after a day on the water, grill dinner on the gas grill while enjoying the views, or simply sit back and watch boats cruise across the lake.



One of the highlights of the property is the active eagle's nest located in a large tree near the home. Bald eagle sightings are common, and guests may have the opportunity to watch these incredible birds throughout their stay. It's a pretty special Northwoods experience!



Northern Wisconsin is also an outdoor recreation paradise. Guests can trailer a short distance to access extensive ATV and snowmobile trail systems. The surrounding area offers hundreds of miles of trails through the Northwoods and Chequamegon National Forest.



Close to Hayward

Lookout Lodge is located approximately 14 miles from Hayward, Wisconsin, giving you a peaceful lakefront setting while keeping restaurants, shopping and attractions within an easy drive.



Spend a day exploring Hayward's restaurants, shops, mini golf, famous candy store, golf courses, breweries, wineries, and family attractions. The LCO Casino is approximately 13 miles away, while the Hatchery Creek Trailhead, Birkie Trail, and CAMBA mountain bike trail access are approximately 12 miles from the property.



Trail's End and Angler's Haven Resort are located just across the lake and are easily accessible by boat.



Cabin Amenities

Lookout Lodge includes high-speed Wi-Fi, streaming televisions, air conditioning, a large stone fireplace, vaulted ceilings, gas grill, private dock, sandy swimming area, and plenty of parking for vehicles, boats, and trailers.



Dogs Are Welcome

We LOVE dogs and want our guests to enjoy their vacation with the whole family, including the furry members! Up to two well-behaved dogs are allowed with prior approval and an additional pet fee.



We ask that dogs be supervised while at the property and that guests pick up after their pets to help us keep Lookout Lodge beautiful for future guests.
