A country house with a sea view, Mediterranean charm, and plenty of space—Villa Marina is idyllically situated in the gentle rolling hills of Montecorice, not far from the UNESCO-listed town of Castellabate.

Set on a property spanning over 1,300 square meters, Villa Marina stands as the manor house of a historic farmstead, featuring an elegant stone facade. The magnificently blooming bougainvillea and roses, man-sized cacti, and olive and fig trees lend it a Mediterranean charm.

During your stay at Villa Marina, you can enjoy the outdoors to the fullest. The approximately 200-square-meter terrace overlooks the sea directly; under an olive tree, a brick barbecue and dining table await you, and you can relax on sun loungers or in the hammock as you please and let the day unfold.

SPACIOUS 140 SQM FOR 8 PEOPLE
In this vacation home with high ceilings and an airy atmosphere, you’ll stay on two levels.

On the GROUND FLOOR, there is an approximately 30-square-meter living/dining room with a fireplace, from which you have access to the terrace and the upper floor of Villa Marina. Separated from the living area by a charming stone archway is the kitchen, featuring a well-equipped built-in solid-wood kitchen and a dining set for four people. You also have access to the terrace from the kitchen. Additionally, the first floor includes a guest restroom with a bidet.

The UPPER FLOOR features the 4 bedrooms, each with a double bed and air conditioning. Three of the rooms have balcony access, and one of the rooms also has its own bathroom. The balcony with ocean views spans the entire width of the house.

A second bathroom is accessible via the hallway. The room without balcony access has an additional single bed (for a third person), a crib, and a fireplace.

AN OASIS IN THE CILENTAN HILLS
The property, renovated with great care and the owners’ own labor, is situated in the heart of the valley. The owner sees his country house as an oasis of peace and relaxation and wants to share this feeling with his guests. Enjoy Italian country life and authentic hospitality, and let yourself be enchanted by nature and the sea.

MORE INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR STAY
The beach (pebbles, stones) at San Nicola a Mare is about 3 km away. For those who prefer sandy beaches, we recommend the smaller beach near Agnone or the wide sandy beaches near Acciaroli and Santa Maria di Castellabate.

Grocery stores, as well as bars, cafes, and restaurants, can be found about 2 km away in Montecorice. Culinary excursions to nearby Castellabate are also well worth the trip.

There are several very beautiful hiking trails around Montecorice. A classic coastal hike leads, for example, to Punta Licosa between Ogliastro Marina and San Marco di Castellabate.

Those who prefer to explore the hinterland on foot can hike from Pioppi to Acciaroli. You’ll enjoy magnificent views along traffic-free roads and country trails. The climb up Monte Stella is also well worth the effort. From the summit, you can see far into the southern part of Campania!

THE DONKEY FAMILY
On the spacious, terraced property, a short distance from Villa Marina, you’ll also find the owners’ home and, across from it, a fenced-in enclosure for the couple’s donkeys. The donkeys love to go for walks. Guests at Villa Marina are therefore warmly invited to join the 2–4-hour walks (including breaks) to Consentini, the Assunta Panorama Bar, or down to the village.

Claudia, the donkey owner, describes the outings with her animals this way: “It’s always fun and contemplative; the donkeys naturally prevent any rushing. It’s also a joy for the donkeys—they’re so sweet and happy to have a change of pace.”

Rounding out the animal family is a young, medium- to large-sized dog, who also lives with the owners’ family and is generally free to roam the property.
