Cozy vacation apartment "am Bärenkamp"

A lovingly furnished vacation rental (approx. 48 square meters) very close to the Externsteine, in the Teutoburg Forest hiking region.

The apartment, which has a separate entrance, is located in a single-family home with a beautiful garden. A portion of the garden is available for guests’ use, and garden furniture (table, chairs, and lounge chairs) is provided.

In the village of Holzhausen-Externsteine, there are two restaurants and a café.

You can go shopping in the neighborhood of Horn (approx. 4 km) or in Detmold (approx. 10 km).

Just a few steps away is the “Vogeltaufe”—a plateau with beautiful walking trails (perfect for walking the dog) and charming views of the surrounding area. The well-signposted hiking area begins right outside your front door.

Several attractions are nearby, including the Hermann Monument and Germany’s largest open-air museum. The historic former royal seat of Detmold, with its many cultural offerings and historic old town, is very charming. A market is held there three times a week, featuring a wide variety of goods.

Your accommodations are equipped with everything you need. A fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, oven, coffee maker (filter), electric kettle, and toaster.

There is a spacious bedroom. The living room (with satellite TV), dining area, and kitchen are all located in one open-concept space. The récamière in the living room can be converted into a bed for a child or teenager. A spacious hallway offers plenty of room for your hiking gear. The naturally lit bathroom is equipped with a shower and a hair dryer.

Only dogs are allowed as pets; cats and other pets are NOT permitted!

The minimum stay is 3 nights.

Upon request, for stays of several weeks, I provide a weekly light cleaning service for 40€.

I charge 60€ for the final cleaning.

Bedding and towels are included in the price.
