The "Selma," a historic half-timbered house dating from 1763, is located in the heart of Großschönau, just 20 meters from the Mandau River. It consists of 4 living units (including 3 vacation apartments) and 1 sauna/wellness room.
The “Blockstube” studio apartment is located in the house’s rustic log cabin section; here you’ll find a sofa bed, a large double bed, and a kitchenette with a dining area. The apartment can accommodate up to 4 people with an extra bed. It features its own infrared sauna for exclusive use.
A visitor’s tax of 1.40 EUR per person per night and electricity at 0.45 € per kWh are billed on site.

The “Blockstube” studio apartment is located in the Selma House. The Selma House is a historic half-timbered log cabin; this architectural style is found almost exclusively in Upper Lusatia—its distinctive feature is the unique combination of log construction, half-timbering, and solid masonry. The Selma House has been lovingly restored, continuously renovated, and is very well maintained.

At the rear of the vacation home, there is a shared barbecue area.
The house features a large bike storage room where you can safely store the bicycles you bring with you.
The Mandau River flows past the house at a distance of about 20 meters. This area offers ideal, easy-level hikes through the Mandau floodplain. Großschönau is located in the Zittau Mountains Nature Park and boasts more than 800 historic half-timbered houses. Selma is situated in the heart of this area of extraordinary houses, where one unique house follows another—almost like a giant open-air museum.
Just two houses down, you’ll find a pastry shop with a café, and two great restaurants are also only about 150 meters away.
