A very spacious, stylishly renovated 17th-century house located on a quiet island in the Danube, within walking distance of the historic Old Town—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—and just a few meters from the Stone Bridge and the cathedral. Five bedrooms, a spacious, very well-equipped kitchen-diner with a large dining area, an additional dining room, a living room with a fireplace, a study, a beautifully landscaped garden with outdoor seating, two bathrooms, and three toilets. Wi-Fi, TV, Bluetooth stereo system, ping-pong table, foosball table, and children’s toys.
The Accommodation
This is a historic, listed building with plenty of charm and a long history, as reflected in the house inscription, the coat of arms, and the Baroque staircase.
The listed building is located on the Oberer Wöhrd Danube Island, a very quiet and green residential area that is also part of the World Heritage Site. The Steinerne Brücke, Regensburg’s Old Town, and Stadtamhof are all within a 5-minute walk. Regensburg’s Oberer Wöhrd outdoor swimming pool is located on the same street, and there are swimming spots along the Danube, a soccer field, and an adventure playground. Three beer gardens are within a 2- to 5-minute walk, along with other lovely restaurants and cafés.
A supermarket, several bakeries, butchers, and organic grocery stores are also just a few minutes’ walk away on the Old Town side.
One bedroom is a walk-through room leading to the bedroom behind it. We use this one as a children’s room.
Guest access
The entire house and garden are available to guests.
