From the entryway with its coat rack, you’ll enter the bright living room with a sofa and TV. From here, you can proceed to a wonderfully cozy kitchen with a dining table and to the bedroom with a double bed, where a travel crib can also be accommodated if needed.
The modern bathroom with a walk-in shower is directly adjacent to the living area.
Our guests have a small terrace in front of the entrance door, which they are welcome to use for relaxing moments with a good book or a cool drink.
“Dat seute Huus” was built around 1847. Originally a fisherman’s cottage—as evidenced by the fishing shed in the courtyard, where fish traps and nets were stored and repaired—it then served as a “Hökerei” from the early 20th century onward, the term used for the small village stores in the surrounding area. As part of an extensive renovation, the house’s original character was carefully and faithfully restored and enhanced, and the building was retrofitted for energy efficiency, making it once again a gem of the town.
Within walking distance of the house are several restaurants, a café, a grocery store, and a bakery.
At the same time, just a few steps further on, you can enjoy nature and tranquility at any time—in the picturesque Schleilandschaft or on the stunning Baltic Sea beaches, unspoiled by mass tourism.
Water sports enthusiasts particularly appreciate Maasholm: there is a large marina and a popular surf school right on site.
In addition to walks and bike rides—for example, through the Geltinger Birk—day trips to the surrounding area are well worth it.
Kappeln (about a 10-minute drive) offers a lovely setting for a leisurely stroll. Discover other charming towns along the Schlei—such as Arnis or Lindaunis.
Flensburg (about a 40-minute drive) entices visitors with its merchant courtyards, the museum harbor, and maritime charm. Schleswig, Eckernförde, and Kiel are other charming destinations for day trips.
