There you can also hire bicycles, sea kayaks, fishing nets and handcarts. The Aarø winery also invites you to a relaxing evening where you can taste the locally grown wine or arrange a wine tasting. The nature is also unique, and a large, untouched area is set aside as a bird sanctuary where you can take long walks. The ferry Helene docks at Aarø, which means you can take a wonderful trip across the fjord to Hadersleben. Hadersleben is a charming old town with specialty stores, cultural events and museums.
