Break away from it all at Escape on Fleming. This comfortable and fresh two bedroom one bathroom apartment is located in Historic Old Town. Conveniently located near charming Old Town restaurants such as Azur and Cafe Sole, yet off the beaten path, it is the perfect location for a relaxing escape. With wood floors and ceiling fans throughout, this apartment has the perfect feel for a Key West vacation.

Upon entering the front door the beautiful island colors of the living room invite you in. The sectional sofa provides ample room to enjoy the flat screen TV. A bright and cheery reading nook sits directly off the living room. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances and a beautiful glass tile backsplash. Just across from the kitchen is a small dining table with seating for four. The bathroom includes a pedestal sink, mirrored bathroom cabinet with storage space and tub with shower. The downstairs bedroom has a double bed and is decorated in traditional charm with calming blues and neutral browns.

The master bedroom space is accessed by a staircase near the front of the house. This room is spacious, open and offers plenty of closet space as well as a dresser with a flat screen TV. The queen bed is decorated in calming blues and greens and provides a nice contrast to the dark wood furniture throughout the room. If you need to get some work done, or inspiration strikes you, there is a desk offering you the space to do so. The master room also has private access to a balcony that overlooks Fleming Street. Here you can people watch with a cocktail at the end of the day or start it right with a Cuban coffee from the famous 5 Brothers just three blocks away!

In the shared backyard space there is a small pool for a quick dip and a relaxing rock waterfall.

Great place, good space

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was an excellent experience with the rental company, Joyce was very nice to work with. The place was a wonderful "keys house". If I was the owner I would upgrade the cookware and the living room furniture, those two things would have made it exceptional.

Fleming Street has gotten busier over the years and can be noisy during peak traffic times and occasionally late at night. There are some interior cosmetic issues that need attention. The market has driven the rental cost to exorbitant rates over the past year throwing the cost-value ratio out of kilter. Service from the property management company was good.

The washer and dryer were excellent to have. Location was perfect, walking distance to everything but still really quiet at night. The management company was so wonderful to work its. Made everything super easy, and they were very responsive.

Reviewer Comments: we were at this unit for 29 nights and all in all would rate it a wonderful experience, great location of course in Old Town, and comfortable overall. There were a few housekeeping details to get fixed but the maintenance crew-- Seth and Shad-- were very understanding and great to work with, prompt and courteous. The office staff, including Jann and Paul, were patient and understanding, especially when we had an issue pop up with an unpleasant neighbor who rented a unit at the back of the building. We would rent this unit again if we return to Key West in the future.

Trying to winter in Key West!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I have been coming to KW in Nov/Dec timeframe for approx. 15 years. This year, we decided to extend our stay for a longer time period to see if we could live here without treating it like "vacation". Escape on Fleming was a perfect spot to stay for a month and get that "living" experience. It has more than adequate space - there were even spaces in the apartment we didn't use at all. Two very minor items we would suggest for the owners to look at, 1) the stove doesn't open the whole way because it runs into the cabinet handle; this didn't stop us from using the stove, it just made it inconvenient and 2) the living room furniture is uncomfortable. I get it, wicker is popular in KW and we really don't spend a lot of time indoors when you are in KW. I worked while we were here and I made one of the couches in the living room my work area so it made the uncomfortableness a little more noticeable. Other than that - the property is described perfectly regarding location, amenities, layout, etc.; it has everything you need to feel like you have an apartment in KW!

Home away from home!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was my 2th year renting Escape on Fleming. When I turned on to the block the house was in I felt I was home. Great neighborhood because of the wonderful neighbors. When I was unloading my car they came out to greet me and said glad you came back. House is clean and if anything breaks down they do everything to get it fix as soon as possible. Very helpfull and friendly staffCole's Bakery is a block away. The Historic Harbor is maybe a 10 minute walk where you'll find The Boathouse and Schoonover Wharf Bar. You can have fun on Duval St and then walk back to a great neighborhood

A Great Escape!

Rating Details: The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property, called "Escape on Fleming" by (the property management company) was perfect in practically all respects. The property description was accurate, the location was central to the Old Town area including a grocery store, bike rental, restaurants, Duval Street and waterfront attractions. It was nicely decorated, immaculately clean and the property management company was responsive and cordial. Fleming Street does get a little noisy on weekday mornings with delivery trucks. Rent is overly inflated all over the island but yes, it is an island with limited space so that has to be tolerated. But that said, I'd stay there again without hesitation.
