We visited Bric del Vento the ...
We visited Bric del Vento the first week of July this year, together with friends. We were a total of eight people; four adults and four children. It turned out to be a visit we will remeber for a long time. Having searched a while for something large enough to accomodate two families and at the same time having a certain charm and class, we were all quite relieved when this place showed up. It turned out to be better than expected. The house itself is very well equipped, with a fully operativ kitchen, beautifully furnished bedrooms, all with their private bathroom. There is even a laundry room, in case you need to freshen up some clothes during the stay. There is a large garde, a pool and a vineyard. The rooms were not air–conditioned, but even though the temperatures were quite high when we visted, it did not pose a problem at all, as long as we kept the shutters closed in the daytime. We felt very well looked after while staying at Bric del Vento and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. The owners could be reached anytime and were the nicest of people. We would gladly visit again. Traveller tips: The house rests gracefully on a hilltop with a clear view of the small town of Soglio and the farmlands surrounding it. It is quite well situated inbetween various tourist destinations to the north and south. You can make day trips from here to Torino, Asti, Alba and Barolo all within 20 minutes to an hours drive from the house. In Soglio there is a surprisingly well stocked Supermarket with a superbutchers department, so making dinner at the house is something to look forward to.
