About the Area
North Star Lodge is located in the Rancho McCrea area of Island Park, close to West Yellowstone, Montana. It's just 30 miles from the Yellowstone West Entrance and minutes from Island Park Reservoir.

*Spread Eagle Lane is very soft in the winter months. Snow removal is provided for our guests but trucks with Large trailers need to unload at the Stamp Meadows Parking Lot. This parking area is located about 1.5 miles West from the cabin, down Yale Kilgore Road. Please do not take large trailers to the cabin. You will be responsible for a tow truck if needed.*

**Please note that there are security cameras on the outside of the house. This is solely for security purposes. Please do not exceed the maximum amount of occupants for this home.

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful setting! Plenty of room for our large group. We loved the hot tub and the full wrap around deck. Kitchen was fully stocked, beds were comfy and the cabin was very clean. We would definitely stay here again!

Was a very spacious retreat for our family gathering. Great location. BedsWere good! Just the right amount of bathrooms. We were hoping for a bed up in the loft however there wasnā€™t. Several fans and unlimited towels Only complaint was the road work so close to our cabin We would visit again

The house couldnā€™t have been more perfect for our large family. It was well equipped, clean and large enough you could ā€œescape ā€œ the crowd. Our only real complaint were the mattresses on all of the beds, springs coming through, rolling into the middle. May be time to invest in mattresses!!

Amazing! We loved this property!!

This was an amazing property for our large family of 24 / 2 families of 6, 2 families of 3 and 3 families of 2 - PLENTY of room for all to sleep, chill and eat!! Speaking of eating, this property is fully stocked with all you need to cook a meal!! SO MANY small appliances I canā€™t even list them all, SO MANY utensils, plates, cups etc etc etc. This property was more than ready for a large group like this, with pool/hot tub towels, and had more bath towels than Iā€™ve ever seen!! The pool table was a huge hit for the kids and adults and the large sitting areas were amazing and fit us all! What a wonderful place to stay!! CORE MEMORIES WERE MADE FOR SURE!!

Family fun

We had a great time. Close to Yellowstone, close to horse riding, close to the water for boating activities. Bring your own food because it is not close to a grocery store and limited to restaurants.

Great family trip

This is our second stay at this great Island Park cabin. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin is huge and laid out well to accommodate togetherness and downtime. There are 2 full size washers and driers, 2 refrigerator/freezers and plenty of parking for our 6 cars and a boat. The hot tub got a lot of use as did the fire pit(bring you own firewood). Itā€™s about 30 minutes away from the park. We had to buy more paper towels. Soap for the shower, shampoo, conditioner are not provided.

Beautiful house!

Just enough off the beaten path to give it a rustic feel; we enjoyed the heavily wooded lot. Everyone was pleased with the hot tub, fire pit, upstairs deck and comfy sitting area. Well-stocked kitchen and plenty of bath towels. Would definitely recommend!

Cabin with wildlife all around!

Nice, roomy cabin for large family get-togethers. Hot tub with wrap around deck, roomy dining room table, spaces for adults, teenagers & young children which fit our family perfectly! Incredible!

Exactly what we were hoping for. Beautiful LARGE and spacious cabin for 24 people. Met all of our needsā€¦hot tub, kitchen was stacked, grill, fire pit etc. Remote areaā€¦we had moose in our yard!! But a quick drive to town for gas/groceries and lots to do. Great pizza/ice cream parlor right on the Snake River. 30 min drive to West Yellowstone Cabin was clean, comfortable and owners were wonderful. Great communication. We will be back!!

Property was correct size The beds were horrible I am over 50 had to sleep on the couch the mattress are hard! Most of my family woke up sore. there are tons of nails sticking out of the deck! One grandson cut his foot. Unacceptable. Not just a nail but 30 plus.

Home was very roomy for our group of 10. Several cooks in the group found the kitchen to be very well stocked. Convienient to West entrance of Yellowstone. Having 2 stacked washer/dryer's was great for our group in the middle of our trip. The rental rate was very reasonable for the size of the property! We always appreciate people sharing their home! Several suggestions for the owners -label the thermostates we were not sure which controled what -some seating on the side porch by the gas grill would be nice -the "fire pit" area was not very inviting , no seating and was overgrown with weeds in the area. It could be a much nicer spot and a real focal spot on cool nights. -several lamps had missing or burned out light bulbs having some spares would have been good ,don't mind replacing them. -the hand rail at entrance needs to be replaced one side was missing and both have rotten wood. We arrive after dark and the railing was a safety hazard. Again thanks for sharing your home. Jim

Comfortable stay at Northstar

Well stocked kitchen, very helpful as we were cooking. Evenings did get warm tho. We used box fans around to help circulate, esp while cooking. Loft was too warm to utilize. We wished for more bathrooms downstairs, but we managed. Loved the dual washer and dryer, super. We thought location and offering was good for the price and would stay again.

Perfect size for all of us.

We had a family gathering about 20 guests. There was plenty of room and more beds than we needed. Many different spaces to hang out and be together but not on top of each other. We enjoyed our stay and thought the property was great for the group we had.

Fantastic cabin in a fantastic location

This house was absolutely perfect for our stay. Spacious, well kept, clean and well stocked in a great location. Right on the edge of the woods and near the river, it was a great location to feel like you were secluded and enjoy the beautiful country, we even saw a moose out of the living room window! On top of our planned Yellowstone adventures we really enjoyed the hot tub, fire ring, pool table and just hanging out at the house. The kitchen was probably the best stocked of any rental I've ever stayed in. And it was super convenient to have two washers and dryers for a group of our size. Highly recommend!
