Fletcher Cove Home

We had an incredible time visiting Solana Beach for 2 1/2 weeks. So close to beach, can’t be better! The house was stocked with so many extras we really appreciated! The four bedrooms was ideal. Having a yard was so nice, and hot tub was fantastic. The furniture needs updating terribly, but I knew what I was getting and it was exactly what was advertised. All of the many many positives would make me book this home again!

Location, Location, Location!

Our family stayed at the Solana beach house for a week. The house is simple but very nice. Cute back yard with outdoor lighting for dinners outside. The hot tub is great to warm up after the surf. We loved being able to walk everywhere and it was perfect for our kids to go back and forth to the beach on their own. The rooms are bright in the am, but we didn't mind because we wanted to get up early and maximize our days. We can't wait to visit again!

Check-in was a later than was expected the given time. I know the cleaning professionals can get behind but it made for a stressful beginning. However, it was clean. The kitchen was good but we needed to purchase steak knifes. But overall, good kitchen. The beach chairs need to be updated. A few were broken and could not be used. We would love for you to update the living room and dinning room furniture. It is not comfortable at all. Also, the chairs at the kitchen island need to be replaced too. They have sharp edges and are not good for children. That being said the location is GREAT! And it is very quit. We did enjoy our vacation and we would book this place again.

Perfect family vacation

This property was beautiful and the location really is a 3-4 min walk to the beach at Fletcher Cove; kids loved the playground (newly updated). We had a combined family vacation with 2 families, plus a grandparent. There was enough space for each family to have the space they needed - bedroom and bathroom-wise + a room and bathroom for grandpa. The backyard is enclosed and safe for LOs to run around without any significant safety concerns. Drive times to the zoo and Legoland were about 20-25 min each. The listing is accurate in regards to location and walkability to amenities. The property owner was friendly and responsive to email/text. The rental is also extremely well equipped (including a bin full of toys!) Highly recommend:)

Gorgeous getaway right by the beach

Our family had the pleasure of staying in this amazing property for the long weekend. There are so many wonderful things about this house, but let’s start with location. It is less than half a block from Fletcher Cove which offers great playground and workout amenities and is also the entrance to the most beautiful beach! Lots of room for laying in the sun, swimming or walking along the shore. Couldn't be a better location. Also walking distance from restaurants, coffee shops, shopping area...everything. The house itself is gorgeous. Clearly brand new construction using only the best materials. The main room is one large great room with a really great kitchen and dining area. The room made it easy for us to all hang out while preparing meals and eating and then watching TV after. The bedrooms were perfect for our needs. I commented to my husband that the bed is more comfortable than ours at home. Seriously...they were that comfortable! The bathrooms are brand new, all with the best fixtures. The rain shower heads are awesome! I love that they used such top notch materials and furnishings as it really shows the owners care for the property. I really can't say enough great things about this place. We loved it and will definitely be coming back as soon as possible. It's the perfect house in the perfect location.

Just steps from the beach!

Beach has public restrooms, a grassy area, basketball half-court, and playground. Nice beach with lifeguards. Walking distance to a few restaurants. House was clean. Lots of natural light. Plenty of beach/bathroom towels provided. Backyard has a large table for outdoor meals, patio furniture, and a small hot tub. Easy access to the house with door code. Enjoyed our stay at the house and being so close to the beach.

It was larger than it looks in the photos.The kitchen was great and the back yard was super nice! It had everything you needed. The location was excellent. The AC was a major plus. It was a quit and the place was very clean. Our family had a wonderful and we will be back!

Outstanding Location

This was the perfect beach rental for our family! We grew up in San Diego and now live in the desert, so our go to vacation is always the beach. This charming house is walking distance to everything you need. Every morning I walked to coffee, then down to the beach to walk to the tide pools. The house was equipped with everything needed for a fun beach day, but close enough to run back for the restroom, snacks, beverages etc… we enjoyed the back yard space and hot tub. Rented electric bikes and cruised to Encinitas. The kids hit up the fair on the 4th and we walked to Fletcher Cove to watch the fireworks. So many great restaurants within walking distance as well. Our favorites were Naked Cafe, Station Sushi, Pizza Port, and Pillbox Tavern.

Great stay!

House was great! Clean and well appointed. AC was a nice plus on warm nights. Location was perfect. Easy walking distance to the beach. Would stay again.

Great beach house!

My family and I enjoyed our stay very much! The property was clean, comfortable, and well appointed, and the location is incredible! We were able to easily walk to the beach, and if it was too crowded, it was no big deal to just walk back to the house and try again later. Benjamin replied to all my e-mails promptly and gave us all the information we needed.

I don't really want to tell you about this GEM!

In the midst of these COVID quarantine MONTHS, we needed to get out of our house for a change of scenery for a few days. Somewhere we could still practice "safer at home" guidelines but yet experience a little SoCal summertime fun. THIS IS THE PLACE. 1 min walk from the beach. Not kidding. And Fletcher Cove is the PERFECT little beach, especially for families (since the water creates a perfect tide that creates a beautiful shallow ocean to play in). Seriously, I don't want to be telling you all this. The house is designed as a mix of modern and rustic - West Elm sheets and linens, new appliances everywhere, really nice china for the kitchen, etc. The TV is a smart TV - not that you'll be using it much. And the little outdoor areas are perfect. The front has a nice small grassy area to play catch, and the backyard is equip with a picnic table and BBQ for grilling out...and a also a nice hot tub for later at night. The house is also just a short walk from the main strip in town...all shops are practicing social distancing and we felt safe the entire time. Best yet was that the owner Benjamin was amazing - always quick to respond, checked in on us (via text) and made sure we were happy during our stay. I'm bringing my family back so please don't book all the dates up.

Light, airy, great location, no carpets

There were 7 of us staying at this house for this reunion trip , with an additional 4 local ladies who hung out with us during the day. This house was able to easily accommodate us all. We spent a lot of out time at the dinner table which easily accommodated all 11 of us for meals. We cooked breakfast, and grilled our dinner both nights. Really nice china for us to use considering it’s a rental. One of the ladies mentioned that not having carpets is a nice feature for those who worry about pet allergies. The house is at such a convenient location. The beach is just one block away and the house is equipped with plenty of beach chairs and a sturdy wagon for transporting our beach gear. We also walked to South Cedros for window shopping and browsing. The yard was clean and cute, has a Weber gas grill, and the picnic table covered by a glass top was a nice touch. We had only one minor issue (no can opener), which was promptly addressed. Gabriella was responsive to our queries during our stay (via text), and the logistics of checking in and checking out was super easy. Great house, awesome location, would definitely come back again.

Great Family Vacation Spot!

Great house with the best location. My wife and I stayed here with our 3 children (6, 3 and 6 months). We couldn't have asked for a better spot. It's a very short walk to the beach and the "house wagon" was a lifesaver. Tons of restaurants are a short walk away...we will definitely stay here again.

Great location but interior needs some work

The property is in a fantastic location walking distance to beach, restaurants, and shops. The owner was very responsive and accommodating to issues that came up. We were surprised that the sofa and chairs in the main living area had not been replaced a long time ago. They were both extremely dirty and worn down. The entire house is tile so I would also recommend a large area rug in the main TV area as it is nice to have somewhere that young kids can crawl around on a padded surface. After a few needed upgrades this will be a great beach bungalow.

Beautiful beach bungalow

We loved our time in this beautiful Solana Beach home. It is three doors down from a beautiful beach which was the center of our time here. The owners provided a wagon, beach chairs and towels so that preparing for a beach day and transporting your gear is easy. The house is clean, updated and modern. The beds were comfortable. We loved this sweet beach town without a ton of tourist traffic. Roberto's for quick Mexican food after a beach day and Claire's for brunch were our favorite restaurants.
